Mamelodi Sundowns will be eyeing a spot in the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup when they host third-tier side Mathaithai on Tuesday evening.
Mathaithai, on the other hand, are debutants in the competition and qualified for the round of 16 after beating fellow ABC Motsepe League side Northern Cape Professionals 2-0 in the first round. Sundowns booked their spot at this stage of the tournament after they hammered GladAfrica Champiomship side Richards Bay 4-0 in early February thanks to goals by Bradley Ralani, Rushine De Reuck, Pavol Safranko and Peter Shalulile.
