Jorginho, Reece James - Latest Chelsea injury news ahead of the international break (Football.London)

Chelsea ended their run of games on a high, with a win over Middlesbrough in the FA Cup to book their place in the semi-final of the competition. Thomas Tuchel will now have two weeks before his side are back in action due to an international break.

Ben Chilwell suffered a cruciate ligament injury in his knee that is set to keep the wing-back out for the rest of the season. What Tuchel has said: "We gave Jorgi the chance to have a pause. He is still in individual training, he needs one more week of rehabilitation and I think we can provide this much better than – it is not the job of the national team to do this." He is still in individual training, otherwise, we would have brought him to Lille and we would have brought him here for sure. Tuchel will be keen for more options, with the club poised to play as many as seven matches next month, while their game with Leeds still needs to be rearranged. Chelsea will head into a crucial April in fine form having won their last six games in all competitions, leaving Thomas Tuchel's side in a great position to add more silverware to the trophy cabinet.

Chelsea draw Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley (Football.London)

The Blues will be hoping to reach yet another final this season, with Crystal Palace standing in their way of doing so.

In the other semi-final, Manchester City are set to face on of Liverpool or Nottingham Forest. The German coach will certainly be hoping it is third time lucky though, as his side have lost the past two finals in the competition on the bounce, having done so to Arsenal and then Leicester City last year. One player who has impressed under Vieira is Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher. The midfielder has become a nuisance for opponents, with his pressing often making him hard to shake off.

The fall of Roman Abramovich's Chelsea empire (Independent Online)

Johannesburg - The fall from grace of English football giants Chelsea Football Club could be as spectacular as their rise from English Premier League ...

The English authorities have always been privy to this. The silence of the authorities is most likely to have been due to the sale to the unassuming Abramovich serving their interests at the time as they also would have benefited from the English Premier League being seen globally as world football’s best, biggest and most attractive competition. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has also seen world football governing body Fifa and the European football governing body Uefa ban Russian national teams from all international matches, while Russian football clubs have been barred from competing in European club competitions. The source of Abramovich’s wealth is as common as that of most Russian oligarchs emerging from the ruins of the fall of the Soviet Union in 1989. Johannesburg - The fall from grace of English football giants Chelsea Football Club could be as spectacular as their rise from English Premier League also-rans into a European superpower in the mid-2000s. Although they sit comfortably third in the Premier League and are through to the Champions League quarterfinals, they face the possibility of a mass player exodus with stars such as skipper Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen seeing their contracts running out at the end of the season.

Tycoons, moguls and hedge fund darlings: Offers roll in to take ... (News24)

UK property developer Nick Candy made the first public bid for Chelsea Football Club, with rival multibillion dollar offers from investors ranging from U.S. ...

Less than a year ago, the sport’s elites -- including Chelsea -- were pushing for ever greater returns by trying to stitch together a league of the richest European clubs in a largely closed competition. The plan flopped in the face of opprobrium from fans and national governments. While the government doesn’t want to get involved in picking a winner, it will have the final say if the bidder does not meet expectations. The only legal red line is that it shouldn’t be sold to a sanctioned individual, said a person familiar with the U.K. government’s thinking. In addition to Harris, co-founder of U.S. private equity firm Apollo Global Management Inc., there’s Ken Griffin, the founder of hedge fund Citadel, and Woody Johnson, a former US ambassador to the U.K. Chelsea expects one or more bids to exceed the 3 billion pound minimum price tag put on the club earlier this month, Bloomberg reported earlier Friday.

"We finished it quite early in the first half. If you don't score in the first half, or at the beginning of the game, they start believing in it. We can be proud of that and after the break too, [we] look forward to what is coming," Ziyech told Chelsea TV. We switched sides at the right moment.
