Paulo Dybala is set to sensationally leave Juventus as a free agent at the end of the season after a breakdown in new contract talks.
Paulo Dybala to leave Juventus this summer as a free agent after new contract talks break down; the 28-year-olds current deal expires at the end of the ...
There was a deal in place, according to Sky in Italy, which would have taken Romelu Lukaku, then still at United, to Juve with Dybala heading to Old Trafford. But the deal was called off by the Serie A side after they were unwilling to let him leave without a replacement lined up. Dybala was a Tottenham transfer target in August 2019 after the club had agreed a fee with Juve for him worth £64.4m, according to Sky in Italy.
According to multiple reports in Italy, Paulo Dybala will leave Juventus at the end of the season as his contract at the Allianz Stadium won't be renewed.
La Joya is, therefore, free to find a new club for 2022-23 given that his time in Turin will end in the summer. His agent Jorge Antun met Juventus directors this morning but failed to reach an agreement during their two-hour meeting at Continassa. They made a new proposal in the region of €6-7m per season plus add-ons, which was not enough for the Argentinean.
Argentine forward joined the Turin giants in 2015 and has won five Serie A titles and four Italian Cups.
"Paulo is no longer at the centre of the Juventus project, that's why we preferred to make this decision," he said. Juventus' project has changed and part of this change included Dybala's contract which today was not renewed," Arrivabene said. "It would have been easy for Juventus to make a much-reduced offer but it would have been disrespectful to Paulo."
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Paulo Dybala will now look to find a new club after talks with Juventus broke down this morning.
Losing Dybala will be a huge backwards step for the club, and one which will leave a hole in our squad, and I imagine that we will be seeing the stadium covered in fans attempts to plead with Juve to fix things and get a new deal over the line. — Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano)March 21, 2022 — Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano)March 21, 2022

Paulo Dybala is a wonderful footballer. One that Juventus supporters have had the privilege of watching for the past seven years.
They have the potential to build a balanced but destructive front three that’ll be feared across the continent. Allegri’s been able to work his way around it; by pressing sporadically and handing Dybala a free role when Juve have the ball. It would’ve been a huge financial gamble from the club to offer La Joya what he wanted at a crucial point in the club’s rebuild. As a result, it was he who had all the leverage in contract negotiations with the club. There’s a beauty and effortlessness to La Joya’s game that very few possess, and he entered the 2021/22 season with a newfound ruthlessness and swagger. Trips to the physio’s bench have become annoyingly frequent and, ultimately, it’s this issue that’ll see him depart Turin as a free agent come the end of the 2021/22 season.
