Jessica Chastain gave a moving speech as she accepted the best actress Oscar for 'The Eyes of Tammy Faye' over the weekend.

"In times like this, I think of Tammy and I'm inspired by her radical acts of love. There's violence and hate crimes being perpetuated on innocent civilians all over the world," she said. Jessica has been vocal about the death of her sister Juliet Chastain, who died by suicide in 2003 at age 24. "And right now we are coming out of some difficult times that have been filled with a lot of trauma and isolation. It's touched mine," she said. I have to thank Michael Showalter, my director, who created a space that inspired creativity and love and courage.

Jessica Chastain Channeled the Queen in an Unexpected Way at the Oscars (unknown)

The Oscar winnerJessica Chastain wore some very regal gemstones for her big night at the Oscars.

The “Black Prince’s Ruby” was worn on battlefields by Henry V at Agincourt (where it might have saved him: when the king was struck in the head not only did he survive but so did the stone) and Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth (where it didn’t bring quite the same kind of luck). There is evidence it was part of Henry VIII’s treasure trove as well. The answer would have been yes if you had inquired about the Gucci High Jewelry suite Oscar winner Jessica Chastain wore to the ceremony. And if you analyzed Jessica Chastain’s Gucci earrings on the red capet—or maybe her bracelet, her rings?—you might have wondered about those stones.
