Teacher among four suspects arrested for stock theft in KwaZulu-Natal (Independent Online)

Three suspects were transporting stolen cattle from KZN to Lesotho.

The stolen cattle were handed back to the lawful owner. They were also charged in terms of the Immigration Act as they were in the country illegally. DURBAN - A teacher was in the dock in the Kokstad Magistrate's Court on Monday after he was arrested for having stolen livestock.

Elderly man drowns while fishing in the south of Durban (Independent Online)

It was reported a 74-year old man had been fishing when he attempted to cross the canal and was swept out to sea.

In a tweet on Monday afternoon, police said police divers from SAPS Durban Search and Rescue were called out to Cuttings Beach for a drowning after reports about a 72-year-old man slipped while trying to cross the canal and was washed into the sea. He said searches were taken but with negative results and had to be suspended because of lack of light.Herbst said the search was expected to resume at first light. Durban - A search is on for an elderly man who drowned in the south coast of Durban on Monday night.

An 11-year-old child died after drowning in a pool in country club on the KZN North Coast.

Medi Response search and rescue unit, together with SAPS were on scene. In another incident, the search continues for a 74-year-old man who got swept away by sea while he was fishing at a Durban beach on Monday afternoon.
