Manager makes 'really good' Leicester City transfer prediction (Leicestershire Live)

Latest Leicester City transfer news as on-loan midfielder Callum Wright continues to impress for League One club Cheltenham Town, where he has earned rave ...

He is earning really good money, but there is no edge to him, no arrogance or ego with it, he just comes in with his dopey, wobbly head and his scouse accent, always with a smile on his face. Sometimes players make it look like it’s a chore to go out and play, but he doesn’t – he loves it. The fact he came in for six months last year and he wasn’t a starter at the start,” he said.

Europa Conference League state of play ahead of PSV vs Leicester ... (Leicestershire Live)

Latest Leicester City news as we take a look at how the UEFA competition is shaping up ahead of the second legs of the quarter-final.

The first leg went back and forth with a goal from either side coming in the final 10 minutes. A similar outcome tonight would see the lowest-ranked side into the last four of the competition. City travel to the Netherlands to take on PSV Eindhoven in the second leg of their Europa Conference League quarter-final. Brendan Rodgers’ side did have chances to take an advantage into the second leg through Kelechi Iheanacho and Harvey Barnes but were unable to make the most of the openings. Favourites AS Roma took the lead through Lorenzo Pellegrini just before the half-time break but Bodo/Glimt again shocked the Italian side with two second-half goals to turn the game around. The second leg of AS Roma vs Bodo/Glimt kicks off at 8pm.

Leicester City reach first European semi-final thanks to second-half ... (Telegraph.co.uk)

Leicester City's recent history has been defined by upsetting the odds and this was a glorious triumph for Brendan Rodgers and his players, as they reached ...

Maddison to whip in with his right foot...and Evans flicked it on at the near post and it was heading on target but flicked off Fofana and over. Good composure from Fofana in the middle of the park, before Evans reads the ball well to intercept a pass towards Gotze. No big chances for either side so far, but PSV float a cross not far over the head of Zahavi. Leicester get another chance to attack and Dewsbury-Hall wins a free-kick close to the corner flag. PSV again strain to deal with a Leicester set-piece but get away with it, before Gakpo wins a free-kick for the home team. Things opened up for Leicester on the break but Barnes took too long to make a decision. Leicester stroking the ball around well in midfield with Maddison and Tielemans but Pereira's pass was too heavy. Gakpo should have released the ball to Zahavi wide left but the ball eventually finds the striker. Leicester's third sub is Ayoze Perez for Kelechi Iheanacho. Leicester starting to build pressure now, but they look a little shot-shy and toothless around the edge of the box. Then Gotze plays a lovely one-two with Veerman and is hacked down by Castagne at the expense of a booking. Excellent defending from Fofana to get across on the cover and get there before Zahavi and snuff out a counter. Excellent interplay down the right involving Pereira and Perez, and he substitute pulled the ball back from the bar-line to Maddison who slammed his shot into the roof of the net. Tielemans tries to make up for his mistake by taking a shot on from long range and a tight angle, which is skewed high, wide and handsome.

Lookman and Perez almost combined for a winner, minutes before Lookman and Daka were involved in the move leading to Pereira's historic moment. Even with England's log jam of forwards, he must be pushing close to a recall given his recent form. Rodgers substitutions changed the game: Leicester were second best in the first half and with their in-form opposition a goal up a comeback seemed a long way back. He had a couple of other good efforts, one cleared off the line and another forcing a fine stop from Yvon Mvogo, before the goal which he took with aplomb. 84' GREAT STOP FROM MVOGO Lookman crosses from close in on the by-line and Perez gets a touch towards goal but the keeper pushes over the bar. However, it was the third substitution, a controversial one, bringing on Perez for spearhead Kelechi Iheanacho which made the biggest difference.

TOM COLLOMOSSE IN EINDHOVEN: For the third time in six years, Leicester City moved into uncharted territory after Ricardo Pereira's late winner sent them ...

Unwisely, Maddison put his hand to his ear as he celebrated in front of the PSV supporters, who responded by hurling bottles towards the joyful Leicester players. Daka hared on to a fabulous volleyed pass from Iheanacho and fired inches wide. The German played in Zahavi, whose angled effort took a small deflection off Evans that took it beyond Schmeichel. Maddison and his team-mates had bottles thrown at them by home supporters after the playmaker celebrated his goal provocatively. Brendan Rodgers’ tactical changes worked to perfection while Wesley Fofana delivered another masterclass at the heart of defence. ‘In terms of European experience we are a young club but on nights like these everyone grows.

The Foxes fell behind when Erhan Zahavi punished Youri Tielemans first-half mistake; James Maddison equalised with 13 minutes left with a stunning high ...

"Great credit should go to the players, the personality in the second-half was there, the intensity was there. The speed of our game and mobility was better in the second-half and we looked very good going forwards and scored two good goals. We needed more mobility and rotation to create more space on the field." It was maybe a bit of a slow start but we showed that resilience, togetherness and that quality to win the game. I'm so happy for the supporters, who gave us great support on the evening. "The first-half, the guys worked hard but we were too slow in the tempo of our game. For us, we're so young in it. For most of the Eindhoven evening, Leicester were dominant in possession but lacked composure in their final ball. Sometimes we don't make it easy for ourselves, but the level of our game in the second-half was outstanding. And it was another Rodgers substitute who played a key role in their equaliser. The build-up was too ponderous. He's stopping all the counter attacks by sprinting!

Leicester book historic semi-final spot as late fightback floors PSV ... (The Guardian)

A late effort from Ricardo Pereira completed a dramatic turnaround as Leicester reached their first European semi-final.

A minute later Maddison curled a shot wide that Mvogo clambered low to tip round a post but his desire to make the difference did not end there, converting the substitute Ayoze Pérez’s pullback before Pereira capped the comeback. Iheanacho hooked a clever ball over the top of the PSV defence and Daka raced through one on one with the goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo but the striker, perhaps put off by Teze’s determination to make life difficult, dropped his shot wide. A PSV supporter threw his beer towards Maddison as the midfielder was mobbed by his teammates and Brendan Rodgers was all smiles when Pereira sealed victory with two minutes to spare.
