Chiefs found a way back into the game with eight minutes to go, Billiat’s initial effort at goal was stopped by Marques. Cape Town City were content with sitting back in the opening quarter of the game and absorbed Chiefs pressure, before launching a counterattack of their own in the 14th minute. Mashgeo linked up with Craig Martin down the left before launching a powerful drive at goal from a tight angle on the left, the ball taking a slight deflection off Petersen before nestling in the back of the net and putting the visitors 2-0 up.

It is not going to work because we have done that for many years as a club. The situation we are in right now shouldn’t be us trying to hit the ground running. So, when you look at the players that we have, there are good players but some of them might not be good enough to play for Kaizer Chiefs.
