Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are very likely over Northeast India during the next five days. The Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Asani’ over southeast and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal is very likely to move northwestwards till Tuesday and reach west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts. Fishermen out at sea are advised to return to the coast. Thereafter, it is very likely to recurve north-northeastwards and move towards the northwest Bay of Bengal off the Odisha coast. - Widespread rain and thunderstorms are likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. - Widespread rain and thunderstorms are on the cards over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
