The match was hard-fought and was terrific in terms of quality of action. This was the marquee clash of WrestleMania Backlash and it didn’t fail to impress. The two elite teams were evenly matched in a hard-fought match until Roman Reigns delivered a thunderous Spear to Riddle to register a fine victory. Last night’s encounter between Flair and Rousey was a rematch of the clash between the two on Night 1 of WrestleMania 38. WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022 was a throwback to the In Your House era in that it was very clearly a B or even C-level pay-per-view, rather than a true ...
If you skipped it and saw the predictable outcome of Rousey beating Flair coming, catching up on the quick results slide above was all you really needed to know. That leads to bad creative where you don't need to watch any of the television shows. With Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin, the clear side that needs more of a leg up is Moss. Beating Corbin isn't the equivalent of capturing a title, but it's a nice follow-up to his Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal victory. This also avoids the problem that WWE has wherein Creative doesn't seem to know what to do with Flair if she's not holding a title or challenging for one. If it didn't happen, everything would be the same as it was after WrestleMania. It will likely also lead to Ripley becoming one of the next challengers to Bianca Belair's title to provide for a much-needed fresh feud. Repeating the same match and just doing a different outcome is cheap. Yes, Omos won this one in part to make them "even" with each other, and used MVP's help because he's a heel, so that will get you to boo him and not respect him. Styles still would have had to fight a Hall of Famer who is more decorated in accolades than entire classes combined. This checks a few positives off the list. Rhea Ripley unveiled herself and is now a member of Judgment Day.

If that’s the case, I just wanna say thank you for all these years of support.” - although he was arguably getting Rollins back for a similar manuevare attempted just moments prior. After locking in the armbar with the use of a steel chair, Rousey forced Charlotte to say “I Quit”, and won the bout to become the new SmackDown women’s champion. Styles managed to get in little bursts of attack every now and then, but the majority of the match saw Edge controlling the majority of the action. Rhodes pinned Rollins with a roll-up and a handful of tights, a disappointing finish to a great contest that will undoubtedly be remembered as the finest of the evening. The match between Rhodes and Rollins began with a lockup before a rapid succession of counters, then an increase in tempo.
Ronda Rousey defeated Charlotte Flair at WWE WrestleMania Backlash while Bloodline defeated Drew McIntyre & RK-Bro in a six-man tag team match.
Six high profile superstars were inside the ring at the same time as Roman Reigns and WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos took on Drew McIntyre and WWE Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro. The match saw both teams looking to take the upper hand in the match. The final moments of the match saw all hell break loose with Reigns slamming McIntyre through the announcer's table while Orton was laid out with a Superman punch. However, MVP did play his part in the match by hitting Lashley with the cane and helping Omos apply his finishing move to win the match. Both the wrestlers took advantage of the stipulation with Flair using the chops on Ronda Rousey. Kendo stick and launching cameras were the other highlights from the match. As expected the match was among the most intense women's matches in a long time. After MVP turned his back on Bobby Lashley to join hands with Omos, the All-Mighty has been looking for revenge.

WWE WrestleMania Backlash was the first pay per view event after WrestleMania and generally this pay per view event does not deliver anything.
Previously it was said to be two different matches, One For The Tag Team Championship unification, and other one for the Universal Championship. We would not say if it was the best match of the night but it was definitely one of the best. It was the only championship match of the event and also the only stipulated match. The match was booked for 17 minutes and there was enough intensity to hook everyone to the match as long as it went on. But throughout it was a predictable match. But honestly it was not as good as most of the fans expected it would be. There were only six matches but none of the matches were really disappointing. We are not sure if most of the fans were looking forward to see this match because it was mostly a Smackdown standard match that got booked in a pay per view. About tonight’s match, it was booked for 9 minutes and it was a good match. As the referee was distracted, a hooded person attacked AJ who was on the pole position. It was booked for 21 minutes and what an amazing match it was. And it was good for Seth Rollins as well. WWE WrestleMania Backlash was the first pay per view event after WrestleMania and generally this pay per view event does not deliver anything special.

Styles dodged a spear and Edge went into the exposed buckle. Lashley took off for the match-ending spear but Omos dodged it and MVP struck Lashley with his cane while the referee was distracted. After a spear into the corner by Lashley, “The Almighty” tied up Omos’ arms in the ropes and pummeled him with unprotected strikes. Rhodes entered the ring, sprung off the ropes and nailed Rollins with the Cody Cutter. Rhodes ducked the pedigree, Rollins countered and planted him with a superkick. Styles restarted the action with a german suplex, before Edge held onto the corner turnbuckle pad and it tore it off. Rollins rolled up Rhodes with the tights; however, Rhodes rolled through and grabbed the tights for a three-count. Rollins made the mistake of mimicking Dusty Rhodes’ moveset and Rhodes planted him with a Cross Rhodes. Rhodes transitioned for a second one but Rollins escaped. He dropped Lashley’s head into the corner and stuck him with a big boot. Rollins continued the assault before Rhodes got a reversal into a Cross Rhodes that led to a near-fall with Rollins getting his foot on the ropes. Rhodes popping Rollins in the throat, faceplanting him off an extended suplex spot and then hitting a Disaster Kick. Rhodes attempted the Disaster Kick a second time and was firmly shoved over the ropes and to the outside. Rhodes tried to hit another Disaster Kick but Rollins caught him and turned it into a Buckle Bomb followed by a high-elevation Frog Splash led to a near fall. Rhodes ducked a strike and clotheslined Rollins out of the ring.
There were only six matches on the card for Backlash, with only one of them being a championship match. What stole the show, however, was Cody Rhodes vs. Seth ...
The final stretch of the match was as packed with action as it could be, culminating with Roman spearing Riddle in half for the victory. Anyway, as for this match, And I find it kind of funny, and I find it kind of sad. There's been a lot of high-octane action tonight, and with six men in the match you would normally expect that here. The match was nothing to write home about and probably went on a few minutes too long. This match is an oddity because, in theory, Madcap Moss is supposed to be the lovable babyface, but that's just not the case. So I've been enjoying this match for what it is, and when Charlotte put the mic up to Ronda and Ronda said, "Never b****," I lost my mind. It was a solid match, and an "I Quit" match that didn't get too over-the-top. As for the match itself, it's two of the best in the industry doing their thing. So the big story here is that AJ Smiles' arm is hurt and that comes into play a lot--especially when Smile is trying to put Edge into a variety of submissions. As for the match, it was fine. It was a complete surprise to see Cody get the win here, as Seth winning made more sense--to get a rubber match at the next PPV. Regardless, I don't see anything topping this match tonight. Mat: Wrestlemania did something very important: it put Chris and I in the same room for the first time in a little more than two years.

If that’s the case, hopefully it’s be Cody winning by disqualification instead of losing a match to Theory. Unfortunately, the viewer was never clued in about Nikki and Doudrop’s friendship until tonight. This led to Montez Ford hitting a frog splash on Riddle, and I would have fallen for the false finish if Corey Graves wouldn’t have screamed out “new champs!” Edge has short hair now as he continues to commit to this new character. WWE Raw also booked a high-profile match for next week as Bobby Lashley will face Omos inside a steel cage. That doesn’t make any sense!” Unsurprisingly, Seth Rollins attack Cody Rhodes just as he was on his way to victory, and to his credit, he got a ton of heat for it. Byron Saxton had a great analysis about the value of relationships in wrestling by comparing Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H.’s friendship outside of the ring to that of Sasha Banks and Naomi, who rode that friendship to a tag team title. The Judgment Day laid out Finn Balor and AJ Styles as WWE seems to be building to a tag team match and/0r an eventual split between Balor and Styles. WWE Raw also saw the return of Alexa Bliss, who used her old theme music and returned to her original ring gear, however she did still carry around a Lilly doll. His hair was similar to that of Rhea Ripley. Also, it’s now called “The Judgment Day” instead of Judgment Day. WWE Raw after WrestleMania Backlash 2022 advertised a United States Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Theory. Rhodes scored his second pay-per-view victory over Seth Rollins last night in an excellent match at WrestleMania Backlash, while Theory was not on the card as only one championship was defended.
