Avatar 2's Pandora Already Looks So Much Better Than The First ... (Screen Rant)

The Avatar 2 trailer is online, and the visual effects of the sci-fi adventure movie sequel reveal an even more breathtaking landscape for Pandora.

The rest of the movie's marketing will likely have little heavy lifting to do in this respect with how strong of an impression the trailer has made, alongside the Avatar sequel's huge box office prospects. Avatar 2 is set to explore the aquatic side of Pandora, and the trailer already reveals the movie to be a monumental visual effects achievement. It's been 13 years since the historic success of the original, and Avatar 2 employs CGI and performance capture to an even greater extent than its groundbreaking predecessor.

10 Strongest Female Characters In Avatar: The Last Airbender ... (Screen Rant)

Whether benders or non-benders, these women have all proven themselves to be fierce combatants but only one can take the rank of strongest.

Her unique style of earthbending causes her to have the strongest connection to earth seen in any bender alive and eventually leads Toph to develop the never before seen metal bending. Azula was born an exceptional Fire Bender and as a result had a significant amount of pressure on her from a young age to be a perfect bender. Ty Lee is one of Azula's trio alongside Mai, though in contrast to the others, she has a very kind and fun-loving personality preferring to literally cart-wheel herself through life. This drove Toph to run away and learn earthbending which transformed her blindness from a disability to her greatest strength. She reveals herself to be a Water Bender from the Southern Water tribe similar to Katara and Sokka, who was once captured by the Fire Nation but escaped through her development of Blood Bending. She is often seen accompanied by Mai and Ty Lee but is more than capable of handling any threat herself. Kyoshi is a fan-favorite Avatar from 2 incarnations before Aang and was the Earth cycle incarnation. Katara is also an exceptional healer showcased when she brought Aang back from the dead, as well as being the only Water Bender alive that is able to Blood Bend besides Hama. For a greater part of the series she is mainly an honorary member as she is usually travelling around the Earth Kingdom alongside the other Kiyoshi warriors helping wherever she can. As she travels with the Avatar, Katara encounters many fights and accumulates an exceptional amount of battle and bending experience. As a Freedom Fighter whose base lies in the forest, Smellerbee is adept at jungle warfare, trap setting, and is proficient in stealth combat. While June is not a bender of any kind, she's a strong hand-to-hand combatant and uses a whip to great efficiency.

Why Appa's Voice Actor On Avatar: The Last Airbender Is More ... (Looper)

The voice actor behind Appa from "Avatar: The Last Airbender" has lent their voice acting talents to a wide variety of projects over the years.

After taking on a handful of less-notable parts, Dee Bradley Baker broke into the mainstream thanks to 1996's "Space Jam," where he played Daffy Duck, the Tazmanian Devil, and Bull. In the years that followed, his career would really take off with spots on "Dexter's Laboratory," "Teen Titans," "Dora the Explorer," "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy," and countless others. In fact, the person responsible is something of a voice acting legend. Of course, the true unsung hero of the program was Appa: the lovable sky bison who transported our heroes from place to place.

The feedback is mixed. Some complained about the lack of a minimal story in the trailer. At first glimpse, we were very disappointed, as the ‘look & feel’ of the trailer reminds a commercial for a video game and is less related to a motion picture. Almost 100% of the trailer is CGI and barely ‘real’ footage is being noticed.

Here's everything we know about 'Avatar: The Way of Water' so far (Time Out)

James Cameron's follow-up to one of the biggest films of all time is finally coming. Here's everything we know about 'Avatar: The Way of Water'

In the spirit of Colonel Quaritch, Covid-19 ate the production schedule’s eyes for jujubes. Yeoh is a (human) scientist called Dr Karina Mogue. ‘I would be the tea lady for James Cameron,’ she joked in EW. The hard-driving, gung-ho corporate enforcer is known for his scarred face and excellent line in motivational quotes (‘As head of security, it is my job to keep you alive. Covid has pushed the whole release schedule back by two years: in a parallel, non-viral universe, Avatar 2 would have been out last Christmas. Lots and lots of water. Instead, runs the official blurb, The Way of Water will recount ‘the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.’ Welcome back to Pandora. Again, her role is a mystery so far but we know that she’ll be appearing in all four sequels. The title holds the answer: water. Remember Avatar? Sure, it’s a little odd that one of the biggest movies in the history of cinema feels like a strange and distant dream. But with the sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water, finally arriving, 13 years on, we’re all about to go through a James Cameron refresher course. Will there be the same appetite for Pandora’s CG-heavy visual and are audiences ready to don those 3D specs again? Avatar’s record-breaking $2.8 billion has since been challenged by Avengers: Endgame, but someone’s going to need to hold Cameron’s beer because he has four sequels storming down the pipeline.

By December of this year, everyone will get to see the next chapter of James Cameron’s sci-fi epic and how it will all play out. The first Avatar film way back in 2009 emphasized its forests and its Hometree, a location within Pandora that houses both the Na’vi and a sizable amount of unobtanium. Coupled with a masterful rendering of Jake and his family flying over these waters, and fans will be taken to Pandora itself. It is expected that they will be leading the Na’vi against the primary threat of this James Cameron film. The trailer then shifts to a modernized setting, complete with military vehicles and avatars walking around a factory. The newest Avatar trailer starts with several Na’vi, Pandora’s indigenous alien species, and what appears to be a human sprinting on massive vines.
