A police dog, policeman and a family member of a missing person were attacked by a swarm of bees in Nongoma on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast at the weekend.

“The dog and his handler proceeded to Nongoma area where a search was conducted. “The dog was stung and rushed to a veterinary hospital in Durban where he was treated and admitted.” During the search, the member and his dog and a family member were attacked by a swarm of bees.

Durban woman sentenced to life for murder and kidnapping (News24)

A Durban woman, Zandile Nsele (40), has been sentenced to life imprisonment for kidnapping and killing her neighbour, Sphumelelo Mzimba (10) in June 2019.

The next morning she fled to Johannesburg where she made two more calls to the mother demanding R20 000 for her child’s safe return. “That night Nsele contacted the child’s mother demanding a sum of R20 000 for the child’s safe return. Once the child was dead, Nsele removed some of her internal organs and/soft tissue and disposed of the body in the prepared spot.
