Essop's whereabouts were last known at 2pm on Monday when she was driving a white Toyota on Weltevreden Road near Philippi after work.

Of her appearance, Shireen is described to be 165cm tall and of a medium build. She is 32-years-old. She was last seen at around 2pm on Monday according to multiple sources and was driving a white Toyota along Weltevreden Road, Mitchellโs Plain. Her vehicle has been recovered as well as some of her belongings.
The Manenberg mother, Shireen Essop, is believed to have been abducted by unknown individuals.
The mother of a two-year-old boy was last seen driving a white Toyota along Weltevreden Road. "Police can confirm that police [sic] are searching for a 32-year-old female who went missing Monday afternoon at about 14:00. The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated." Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg confirmed that a police investigation was underway.
