Swallows get their promotion/relegation campaign underway against Cape Town All Stars on Wednesday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

The Birds will be playing their home games at Lucas Moripe Stadium as their regular home venue Dobsonville Stadium is undergoing pitch resurfacing. Swallows finished 15th on the log in the DStv Premiership after playing to a 2-2 draw with Kaizer Chiefs in their last match, although even maximum points were not going to be enough after TS Galaxy won their match against Chippa United. Swallows get their promotion/relegation campaign underway against Cape Town All Stars on Wednesday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

All Stars lost 3-1 to University of Pretoria on Sunday and they are in a precarious position with two games to play. The result is a further blow for the Allan Freese-coached All Stars as they have now lost their two opening matches of the mini-league. In the second half, Swallows upped the tempo to some extent and put pressure on All Stars, who looked like they planned to defend the first-half goal for the rest of the match.
