Follow all the action from Molineux as the Three Lions play their final game of the summer.

In just 15 minutes, Scotland take on Armenia in one of the day’s first fixtures. The whole idea was rather undermined when, a few months after the inaugural edition had finished, Uefa granted a reprieve to those nations who finished bottom of their groups so that they could revamp and expand this new, oddly successful tournament. Anything less than a win for England and progressing to the Nations League finals this time next year will look extremely difficult. The Nations League introduced the concept of relegation to international football four years ago and, four years on, it is still hard to take it as seriously as its club equivalent. England face Hungary on Tuesday night in the Uefa Nations League, looking to lift themselves off the bottom of the group after a disappointing end-of-season run of results so far. Given the experimental selections, exhausted players and empty stadiums bar excitable schoolchildren, England’s end-of-season Nations League games have felt a little like the international friendlies that they were supposed to replace. A defeat tonight would leave Steve Clarke’s side bottom of the group at the midway stage, having played one game fewer than their rivals. As you can probably guess by now, this certainly isn’t the England players, or any other Nations League squad complaining about four fixtures in this international break. That was entirely understandable at the end of a long, hard and hectic campaign. Follow all the build-up and live match action as England face Hungary below: His third goal at senior level for the national team. Scotland living on the edge.

Tonight is England’s fourth and final game this month, which has proved to be a testing time in their World Cup preparations. Connor Gallagher should also come in for his first minutes while Gareth Southgate will be tempted to bring Jordan Pickford, Kyle Walker and John Stones back into the fold tonight at Wolves’ Molineux stadium. England currently sit bottom of their Nations League group after three matches. “I accept it would change external [perceptions]. We all want to leave with a win and if we win tonight, we’ve still got the chance to win this group. A defeat against Hungary has been followed by draws against both Germany and Italy, with Harry Kane’s penalty in Munich the only goal the Three Lions have managed. England currently sit bottom League A Group with only a win likely to move them up the rankings and over Hungary as Germany host Italy at the same time at Borussia-Park.

It looked more of a back three to me when the team was released, but TV have it as a 4-2-3-1 with Gallagher in the attacking midfield position.

With Kalvin Phillips going off injured in Germany, there might be a spot for Connor Gallagher to see his first action of the summer. "Also, you have to earn your England caps. Mason Mount has found it difficult to influence games from the No 10 position, while Bukayo Saka looks leggy after playing an immense number of minutes for Arsenal. Southgate named a more experimental team against Italy on Saturday, with Aaron Ramsdale, Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham handed starts. Walker, Stones and Guehi in the back three. The question is who plays out of position at left-back?

ENGLAND are taking on Hungary as they look for their first win in this latest Nation's League campaign.Gareth Southgate will be desperate to see an im.

He's been out on loan, he's been in non-league, he's been in the Championship. He plays with a freedom and an energy. He looks at home in an England kit, I'm really excited for him tonight and I think he'll puff his chest out and take the opportunity.Joe Cole Good evening from Wolverhampton and welcome to live coverage of the Nations League clash between England and Hungary at Molineux. I thought he was brilliant on his debut. England are at the foot of the table, so far without a win, but could leap to second place with three points this evening - bypassing Hungary on the way. His story is wonderful, he's come through the leagues.

England vs Hungary: Player ratings and analysis as dismal Three ... (iNews)

Gareth Southgate's England woes went from bad to worse with a humiliating 4-0 defeat at home to Hungary – their worst of the modern era. Despite his side ...

He was rooted as Hungary broke and bypassed him for 4-0. Harry Maguire: An 85th minute sub for Saka, Maguire was brought on to make sure the result did not get any worse. Kalvin Phillips: Phillips struggled to transition the ball at pace – a real contributor to the failure to create. He switched to the right after half-time and played more as a wing-back, again doing well, but conceding four means he can merit no more than a five. Again they broke against a sloppy home defence that failed to pick up their men, and again they took advantage as Zsolt Nagy drilled home. Booed off at half-time, England subbed Raheem Sterling on for Jarrod Bowen and switched to a wing-back system in the hope of stretching their opponents more.

England are in need of a win to keep their UEFA Nations League campaign alive. Follow the latest updates and highlights from their match with Hungary.

5th minute: Phillips is the lone holder in there, with Gallagher and Bellingham operating to right and left respectively. 1st minute: England players took the knee before kickoff and it was unanimously applauded by the home fans - a very different scenario to those Euro 2020 warmup games a year ago. 21st minute: England's response to going behind hasn't been overly convincing and a big problem from this position is their lack of goals so far in the competition. 23rd minute: The positive early atmosphere is starting to take a turn amid a few misplaced passes. 33rd minute: Stones is unusually slack in possession and Hungary burst into the England box but can't capitalise. 50th minute: On the other hand, if Hungary are unaware of where Bellingham is going to pop up that's a problem for them. 45th minute +2: It came to nothing, like the three before it and there's a smattering of boos at the whistle. It's another England corner but the referee has spotted a foul by the attacking team. 64th minute: Sallai is almost in for his second of the game but can't get a raking pass under control. Plenty of endeavour from England and some good flashes, with Sterling just then dropping off and darting through a couple of challenges. 67th minute: More and more restlessness from the fans behind us. But the story is this is England's biggest ever home defeat to a non-Home Nation. It's seismic blow to their preparations for the World Cup later in the year.

England vs. Hungary - Football Match Report - June 14, 2022 - ESPN (ESPN)

Get a report of the England vs. Hungary 2022-23 UEFA Nations League, Group Stage football match.

It's not realistic to have had the ride I've had for five years and not have bad nights, difficult night." "I know great people like Sir Bobby Robson, what he had to go through and how he was viewed in the end on getting the team to a World Cup semi-final. But that's life as a football manager, you're never going to have six years like we've had and not have bad nights. England remain winless and bottom of their Nations League group with two points from four games, including a 1-0 defeat to Hungary in the reverse fixture earlier this month. "The irony is that the pressure we've had and the reputational comments have come in the two Nations League campaigns and in neither campaign have we been anywhere near able to pick our strongest teams for the games. England's misery was compounded in the final 10 minutes as Zsolt Nagy and Daniel Gazdag scored further goals and John Stones was shown a second yellow card to make it one of the worst nights of Gareth Southgate's reign.

Dismal England hammered by Hungary in Nations League as crowd ... (The Independent)

England 0-4 Hungary: John Stones red carded as fans boo players off pitch following historic defeat.

“Tried” being the operative word because they were struggling to match Hungary’s purpose, and were eventually further behind. Some may now mock Hungary celebrating like they won the World Cup, except you only have to consider what this might mean for England’s. This was what stood out about Hungary. They all had basic jobs and knew exactly what to do. Gareth Southgate has real problems to solve, as his team lost momentum and - perhaps most relevantly - he lost the support of a significant section of a home crowd. This dismally long international break, that no one wanted, and has now brought the most unwanted of records. The free-kick should not have been that hard to deal with, but the line was split into three different sections, which saw John Stones head the ball towards his own goal.

I understand the fans' frustration, we will keep working to try and have a successful World Cup." "4-0 is difficult to accept, but I think Southgate proved he is quite a good coach. It was a hapless performance that deserves all the criticism it gets, but to call for Southgate's head is remarkable, given his achievements as England manager. As bad as England were, Hungary fully earned a historic win. "Second half was not acceptable after going 2-0 down. It is the first time England have been beaten by four goals in a home game since a 5-1 loss to Scotland in 1928.
