Intense pressure from the home team close to the tourists' tryline followed and they stretched the lead to 10 points by the 16th minute as Pollard dived over close to the posts and converted his try. South Africa started superbly, dominating possession as they camped in the Wales half and fly-half Handre Pollard slotted a fifth-minute penalty from close range to open the scoring. The Springboks deservedly wrapped up the series against Wales with a convincing 30-14 win in the decider in Cape Town on Saturday.
They regained control and found space on both flanks as they stretched the Boks’ defence. With the amount of quality, quick ball the Boks enjoyed inside Wales’ 22-metre area, they should have added several more tries. And behind them scrumhalf Jaden Hendrikse produced quick service with clear decision-making that gave the Boks momentum from ruck ball. Hooker Bongi Mbonambi, playing his 50th Test, scored as he broke away from a maul close to the line just before halftime. Centre Damian de Allende also could not grass the ball on the tryline, coming up a few centimetres short. Only their own untidy finishing stopped the match from becoming a complete rout.

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has heaped praise on his side following Saturday's victory over Wales in the third Test.
"I still think there is a lot for us to work on. They wanted the team to win first, and that was the best thing we could do for them," said Kolisi. "We had a plan. People are allowed to have an opinion and criticise us as a team because we know they care. We want to learn while winning, and it was a pity we didn't win last week. "A lot of people always have a lot to say, and we want people to engage with us as a team.
