He was well known to those in Leinster Rugby in that role as Team Manager, retiring in 2004, but to many many more, across Leinster and beyond, he was a brilliant story-teller and brilliant company and was never short a story or two. With Leinster Rugby, Ging was chairman of the senior selectors and chairman of the under-20 selectors, before joining as Team Manager under Mike Ruddock.
