It’s now reporting “Degraded Service” which the SpaceX company is investigating, according to the Starlink app. [SpaceX lowered the monthly subscription prices](https://www.theverge.com/2022/8/25/23321262/starlink-discount-price-drop) for Starlink by as much as 50 percent in some regions in response to “local market conditions.” That was followed up by Elon Musk taking the stage with T-Mobile to announce a deal to end mobile dead zones by [bringing satellite connectivity to existing phones next year](https://www.theverge.com/2022/8/25/23320722/spacex-starlink-t-mobile-satellite-internet-mobile-messaging). [Starlink RV service](https://www.theverge.com/23181342/starlink-rv-review-trees-rain-speed-latency) in the Netherlands went down for about 30 minutes.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) also [authorized SpaceX to provide Starlink wifi](https://gizmodo.com/elon-musk-starlink-wifi-cars-boats-planes-1849133879) to vehicles in motion, including semi-trucks and RVs, planes, and boats. It [went down](https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/spacexs-starlink-satellite-broadband-suffers-widespread-outage/) for around 60-90 minutes in August 2021. It was also hit by a major outage [in January](https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/starlink-suffering-global-outage/), impacting services across the globe. It is not known how widespread the outage is.

[reported service disruptions and outages](https://www.reddit.com/r/Starlink/comments/x1c842/global_outage/) starting Monday at about 3 a.m. A formal commercial launch of such an offering hasn't been announced, but SpaceX and T-Mobile intend to start testing in 2023. "I think what we're doing here is profound," SpaceX's Elon Musk said during an event announcing the partnership. "If you are still experiencing issues after twelve hours please feel free to reach back out to us," the message added. Starlink customers reported Tuesday morning that service had come back online. Several Starlink customers also shared details of the outage on Twitter.
