Díaz was the only one who was a bright spark in the second half as he scored from distance and had a strong header well saved. All across the pitch, it was an embarrassing performance for Liverpool. Gomez will rarely have a worse performance than this for Liverpool. Yet that only makes it all the more strange that he could put in a performance so obviously off the pace.
