As the mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II continues, tonight a vigil will be held including the Queen's grandchildren.

The other grandchildren will be in morning coats and dark formal dresses. The reason for this is that when her father Prince Edward married his wife and her mother Sophie, he became an Earl, and it was agreed their children would be styled as children of an Earl, rather than a Prince, meaning she does not use a Princess title. She also became known for her appearance as a bridesmaid at the wedding of Prince William and Catherine in 2011. Lady Louise and her brother James Viscount Severn will be at the middle of the coffin, opposite one another. Up until now, Harry has been banned from wearing his uniform as he is no longer a working royal, despite his two tours of duty in Afghanistan. This is a big step for Lady Louise who is not often in the public eye and rarely attends such engagements. She paid her respects to her late grandmother on Wednesday, performing a curtsy at Westminster Hall, in front of Queen Elizabeth II's coffin. It comes just seven days after the daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex started her studies at St. [Princes William](https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/all-about/prince-william) and Harry the remembrance event will take place on Saturday evening at 7.30pm for 15 minutes. Zara Tindall and Peter Philips will be either side of the Prince of Wales, while Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will be either side of Prince Harry. The emotional vigil will last 15 minutes, with the Prince of Wales at the head of the coffin and the Duke of Sussex at the foot. Although she is the Queen's granddaughter, Lady Louise is not a princess like her cousins Beatrice and Eugenie.

Along with Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, James walked in formation into Westminster Hall and stood at the side of his grandmother's coffin. "Given that my mama let us spend so much time with her, I think she also rather enjoyed watching those passions blossom. He bowed his head as he positioned himself in between Peter and Eugenie while tearful mourners, who had waited in a long queue, came to pay their respects. During a ceremony in Windsor Castle in 2017, she was introduced to an eight-year-old boy, who was around the same age as James at the time. And during his moving tribute to his mother, James' dad Edward touched on the teenager's shared loves and passions with the Queen - and the late Philip. Proud dad Edward described his newborn son as "very cute and very cuddly" and at the time of his birth, he was eighth in line to the throne - although he has now slipped to 14th. James' title is Viscount Severn - one of his dad Edward's subsidiary titles - and the decision was said to be part of his parent's hopes for their children to have as normal a childhood as possible. This means that James and his older sister Louise, are titled as children of an Earl - and don't use the HRH style.
