Manchester City reign over United, Barcelona leapfrog Real Madrid, and Liverpool are looking out of sorts. It's ESPN's Weekend Review.
Combined with [Erling Haaland](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/253989/Erling-Haaland), [Kevin De Bruyne](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/134947/Kevin-De-Bruyne) and [Jack Grealish](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/172850/Jack-Grealish), he helped tear United apart, particularly during a devastating first 45 minutes. [Conor Gallagher](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/266696/Conor-Gallagher) to score his first [Chelsea](/soccer/team/_/id/363/chelsea) goal. [Phil Foden](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/250787/Phil-Foden)'s was the best of the bunch. [Leroy Sane](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/202641/Leroy-Sané) and [Jamal Musiala](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/303821/Jamal-Musiala) scored under little duress inside the opening 20 minutes before [Sadio Mane](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/169797/Sadio-Mané) added a third before half-time to really snuff out any hope of a competitive game. They are currently third in the Ligue 1 table, only one point behind [Marseille](/soccer/team?id=176) in second and three behind [Paris Saint-Germain](/soccer/team?id=160) at the top. [VfB Stuttgart](/soccer/team?id=134) this season, especially after scraping their way to a 16th-place finish in the Bundesliga last year, followed by a modest transfer window. [Leicester City](/soccer/team?id=375) fan right now and they'd happily swap their situation at the bottom of the Premier League for the problems that Liverpool are experiencing -- but no team in the Premier League, and arguably in any major European league, is underperforming quite like the Reds this season. They have numerous problems, among them that [Romelu Lukaku](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/139437/Romelu-Lukaku) is still not back from injury and [Samir Handanovic](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/44323/Samir-Handanovic)'s goalkeeping ability has diminished as we saw on the first goal. [Atletico Madrid](/soccer/team?id=1068) academy product who shone on loan at Mirandes in the Segunda Division last season and is already excelling, having taken a step up with another loan at Girona this campaign. Meanwhile, [Liverpool](/soccer/team?id=364) and [Internazionale](/soccer/team?id=110) are all out of sorts. Mane, the former Liverpool forward, had a second disallowed due to a foul, but [Thomas Muller](https://www.espn.com/soccer/player/_/id/123465/Thomas-Müller) would round out the easiest of games. [to seal a narrow 1-0 win](/soccer/spanish-laliga/story/4758702/lewandowski-shines-for-barcelona-again-in-win-over-mallorca) to leapfrog Madrid courtesy of their superior goal difference.
