"I think the element of pressure, I think that's something that's not really unique to me as a player, as a sportsman. With Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi as spinners, South Africa have a lot of the bases covered in their bowling. If Zimbabwe have the variety in their pace department, then South Africa have a battery of tall pacemen - Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi. In their previous game versus Scotland, Raza and Ervine got their eye in but gifted their wickets away, with Zimbabwe in touching distance of crossing the target. On the other hand, barring Marco Jansen, South Africa's tall pacemen might hit a slightly shorter length in comparison to some of the bowlers from Round 1. The Craig Ervine-led side, however, played all their Round 1 games at Hobart, and the think-tank would have a fair idea of the conditions and also the dimensions of the ground. As most pundits believe, South Africa and luck aren't the best of friends in World events, and with an eye on that semi-final spot, one would expect the Proteas to approach every game with a knockout attitude, bolstered by the form and return of some of their key players in the shortest format. More than a century later, as Zimbabwe gear themselves to take on South Africa in a T20 WC encounter, their rivalry may not have the same kind of expectations associated with a few other celebrated ones. But, that was the year when a cricket team from Rhodesia travelled over to South Africa for the first time to play Transvaal in the Currie Cup. South Africa won 4 of their 5 games in the Super 12s during the World Cup last year, but were denied a semi-final berth on the basis of NRR. Not great news that even as the players patiently sit in their places on their dugouts, waiting for the rain to subside. And all but the hessian undercover have been removed from the pitch.
