Congratulations to Netflix for making Emily In Paris one of the most glamorous yet insipid series on TV.
And that’s why Emily In Paris is a visual treat—look out for a couple of Gabriel and Emily scenes halfway through, and an episode set in Provence, that is a standout. Emily In Paris is obviously a form of escapism; for that, it gets the credit, even if it doesn’t deserve much else. Emily, Mindy, Sylvie, and Camille are all involved in the trope of juggling multiple love interests. It’s a good thing she belts out covers of Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga in season three, an antidote to Emily crooning Dionne Warwick’s “Alfie.” But Mindy sort of disappears in the middle episodes as she gets caught up in her own love triangle. Despite most of the actors’ efforts, Emily In Paris is still a chore. In that sense, EIP is the equivalent of mindlessly browsing through TikTok—an overlong scrolling session that feels like an amusing enough waste of time. To date, Emily In Paris’ approach to the Parisian adventures of Chicago native Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) has been “rinse and repeat,” and the show’s 10-episode third season stays true to these roots. (At the risk of pulling an Emily In Paris, gosh this show loves to be rote). Collins looks perpetually flummoxed, but at least her hair is never out of place, not even when Emily cuts her own bangs. (Hint: Until the last-minute cliffhanger of season three). The new episodes carry on the trend of being equal parts boring and confusing. The show suffers by trying to be superficially earnest instead of fully embracing its whimsical nature.
Emily gives herself bangs in the season three premiere of Netflix's 'Emily in Paris.' Can she throw a party for Alfie at the same time she's meeting with ...
Over at the Eiffel Tower, Emily is using the passive voice to absolve herself of all responsibility for the mess she’s made of her own life (“It all just got so complicated”). But okay!) This is all potentially quite juicy stuff for the start of the season, but given this show’s track record for letting Emily actually live with the consequences of her actions, I am not sure how hopeful to be. We aren’t with her and her bandmates enough to be all that invested in what happens to them, and nothing she’s doing has any effect on Emily or the core goings-on of the show. (Fortunately the one couple I do believe in and care for deeply — Sylvie and the sexy, young photographer — are still together, and still have the correct priorities: no work talk when it’s time to make out). Again it is hard to believe that these two people are an item given that Emily is such a bad girlfriend (never pays attention to him; is obviously hung up on someone else) but the show needs us to believe that Emily is being torn asunder in both her professional and personal lives, so here we are. Emily goes to her other job (how she explains being MIA for half the day with both her bosses is left unclear). (How exactly does it benefit Madeline for Emily to have no idea who the meetings are with and what she needs to prep for … It is best to think of the entire exercise of Emily in Paris as a sort of collective hallucination that we are all having together. Madeline’s outfit is significantly worse (bright magenta and orange, very tight), I assume because her role in this world is “terribly not-chic American,” and I know I said this last season but I am very not into the way this show treats her pregnancy as beyond comical, like practically grotesque. — though I wonder if we are to believe this sort of frenetic, scrambled ritual is not her standard practice but instead is a manifestation of her frenetic, scrambled mind. Emily goes back to the Savoir offices so we can get a full-body shot of her outfit: a fuzzy sweater in a Care Bear color palette, a metallic miniskirt, and just-over-the-knee shiny green boots. [Camille hate Emily’s guts](https://www.vulture.com/article/emily-in-paris-recap-season-2-episode-4-jules-and-em.html) and only [ pretend to be nice to her](https://www.vulture.com/article/emily-in-paris-recap-season-2-episode-5-an-englishman-in-paris.html) to neutralize her as an obstacle on Camille’s (also inexplicable) quest to regain Gabriel’s heart?

The fast food chain has also created a bespoke Emily in Paris menu in its French franchises, with the McBaguette available as a meal deal with a hot chocolate and raspberry macaroons. Netflix is focused on supplementing its subscription revenue after subsequent quarters of declining subscribers. Season 3, which lands today (December 21), sees Emily fight to win a McDonald’s account to promote the McBaguette in France.
Costume designer Marylin Fitoussi explains what, where and how to shop like Emily Cooper in season 3 of 'Emily in Paris.'
Collins herself is partial to this Dolce & Gabbana look, which, she tells ELLE.com, “looks kind of like a zebra and an elephant combined with the little micro shorts.” Emily styles them with a set of eye-popping Louboutin platforms, which were mere prototypes at the time Collins wore them. During an event with Maison Lavaux and McLaren, Emily dons this Giuseppedi Morabito mini with a voluminous lavender jacket to welcome guests to the party. “I can have a feeling if I get it wrong, or if she prefers that, or if she has also any suggestions,” she says. We can see that this love-hate game between both of them means that Sylvie is now taking some color of this young and a little bit arrogant young American ... You need to be unique and you need to be yourself. “Try to see beauty everywhere because every piece can be interesting,” she says. “In Paris, if you take the metro in the morning, everybody’s totally in black,” she says. The resulting silhouette is as good a guidepost as any when it comes to styling a lá Emily: Find mixed patterns and textures that share a color family, then layer them on with glee. The resulting look is so joyful it feels counterintuitive to watch our protagonist struggle with indecision. Chic knits are indeed a Parisian staple, but trust Emily to shred the rulebook with iridescent shorts and lime-green knee-high boots from Maison Skorpios. We had, like, 500 bags and—it’s not the perfect red; it’s not the perfect shoe. “To mispronounce it over and over and over again, it’s like ... So there’s always a part of us in every character.” “It’s a little bit difficult to pretend like you don’t know how to say something,” Collins explains. It was a real rollercoaster to shoot. Sylvie attempts to trick Madeline into vacating the old Savoir offices so she can use them. Emily faces the prospect of going back to Chicago.
Emily finally stands up for herself because the thought of returning to Chicago for a dreaded “360 review,” where she will, I guess, have to pretend Madeline didn’t botch everything, is too much for her poor heart to bear. The speed with which Madeline came, saw, conquered, and destroyed this branch of the company is truly something to behold and I’m sure will really pave the way for other working mothers at the Gilbert Group. First of all, why the hell would she be performing this song, in English, at this jazz club that — as we just learned during an extensive tour of her dressing room — has seen many a jazz legend perform there? If anybody’s performance had any texture to it and we could sense that Alfie was doing a little chess-not-checkers thing here — like, he’s not just being a good friend to Camille and Gabriel; he’s actually trying to neutralize the threat he fears Gabriel still poses to his relationship with Emily — I’d be a lot more into this. For reasons unclear (the show will not allow Emily to actually face and live with the consequences of her bad actions for more than ten minutes), Emily and Alfie are in a great place. Emily and Alfie snuggle in an improbably pink hotel bed as she tries to get the man she completely blew off to declare that he stayed in Paris to pursue a relationship with her.
Camille is pregnant on 'Emily in Paris' season 3 with Gabriel's baby. Here, the 'Emily in Paris' cast Lily Collins, Ashley Park, and Camille Razat react.
There's much left to resolve, so all we can say is Merci, Netflix for already green-lighting [Emily in Paris season 4](https://www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/tv/a39358390/emily-in-paris-season-4-news-date-cast-spoilers/)! Do we get to explore the storyline?' But knowing that we do allowed us to dig deeper into the cliffhanger because we knew we'd get to continue it." "That would be terrifying of us because we'd be like, 'You're going to leave us hanging too? "I think we all heard rumors in different ways, and then you're just like, 'Wait wait wait, what happened? And I thought that it was one of them. "Shocked is the word."
The cast and creator Darren Star walk us through the finale's biggest moments.
“And I even want to go as far as saying that making choices in this season is at the center of the story. “But at the same time, we grew closer to her and really, really connected with her and became allies and almost equal within that dynamic.” But in the finale, Benoît reemerges with good news: His song “Mon Soleil” was selected for the Eurovision Song Contest. “I love filming those kind of scenes because I love when there’s an emotional intensity and everybody has to be very focused and the set is very quiet; I thrive on this type of energy on set,” Bravo says. Filming that tense wedding scene “was really kind of special because I think everyone brought their absolute A-game and you don’t really get to see that side of the characters,” Lucien Laviscount, who plays Aflie, says. “One of the things he was gonna commit to was Camille and this idea of having a child with Camille,” Star explains. With Emily as the star employee in the office, he often feels overlooked and his hard work ignored. It’s always been through looks or the kind of ‘will they, or won’t they.’ And this was the first direct contact of expressing feelings in this kind of environment. Lucas Bravo, who plays the heartthrob chef, felt a deep responsibility as the one to deliver the bombshell at the very end of the season. “I think she really does like Sofia, and I think she doesn’t want to do what people expect her to do. As the dust settles, Emily and Gabriel meet outside the chapel to decompress. “Gabriel, the only reason we’re together is because I knew you were in love with Emily,” she says.
'Emily in Paris' season three focuses on Sylvie's new company and life: actor Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu explains her character's evolution.
Season one, they were like, “Oh, no, no, we’re not like that.” And now they’re super happy about the show. They were like, “Oh my God, this is not real. And the fact that people think that I’m like a Parisian woman now makes me feel even more Parisian. You’re much too old for the part, they’re looking for somebody who’s 35, 40 years old, but you should read the sides of Sylvie if you want to read for it.” And when I read the scenes they sent me, I just went, “Of course. And I think it’s a life lesson. Actually, last year, he said, “Do you know why I hired you?” And he said, “Because I liked your vulnerability.” But she’s a very strong character. I like her vulnerability. L.-B.: Oh, I like her sassiness. P. We’re going to see her life. We’re going to see her vulnerability. Here, she previews the season ahead and explains how French perception of the show is finally improving.
“You come to Paris, you walk into my office and you don't even bother to learn the language,” Sylvie, played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, says to Emily. “You ...
She does something in Season 3 that really could mean the end of her career towards the end of the season, but she does it with such confidence. “She sees how bold and smart she is and she recognizes that as something that she probably was when she was younger, in her own time, with different tools. Familiar with crafting complicated female characters through series like “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Melrose Place” and “Younger,” Star is quick to say Sylvie is not a villain, but rather a role model: “In terms of how she sees life and her point of view,” he says. She was a girl that was basically living bare feet on the beach and then she has to go to Paris and become Sylvie Grateau. “She’s so multifaceted and she expresses all these different sides of her with a lot of freedom,” Leroy-Beaulieu says. And that not-normal [life] was also a lot of fun because it taught me a lot about a certain freedom.” “It is really fascinating to watch her process in wanting to make, technically, the villain of the show, still empathetic, grounded, relatable, soft at times. Leroy-Beaulieu made her acting debut in Roger Vadim’s film “Surprise Party” in 1983 and a few years later earned a César nomination for most promising actress with her role as a single mother in the comedy “Trois Hommes et un Couffin,” a runaway hit in France that would eventually be remade in America as “Three Men and a Baby.” The majority of her career has been in France, where she has performed in a string of films and TV shows, but she was virtually unknown in the U.S. “I wanted the character to have this sense of mystery about her. She even had a small role earlier this year in Netflix’s Emmy winner “The Crown,” playing Monique Ritz, widow of hotelier Charles Ritz. When the conversation turns to her own culture shock visiting the U.S., she says she found the loneliness of L.A. She was in that position herself when she auditioned for the role, originally written to be between 35 and 40 years old.
An interview with 'Emily in Paris' actor Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu about the show's third and wildest season, discussing her character Sylvie's chicness, ...
I have to be moved in a very deep way — it has to touch my heart and my guts. I love that artist, but I also love that documentary. Artists try to give birth to something that is universal, that can be received by everyone — not everyone in a cheap way, everyone because it touches something really, really deep. I remember somebody leaked the fact that I was going to be in a swimsuit in season two, and rightfully so — at my age, you kind of need to tell the actor. It’s a love and hate relationship, I guess. But she needs that in order to restore her sense of confidence. You don’t need to know.” It’s kind of fun, now that I think about it. He takes you out of that comfort zone and throws you in the pool and you just swim through it. And it was kind of cute, because I was telling him, like, “Darren, I mean, look at me. When you’re thrown in the pool and you have to swim, you just do it. It’s because she saw that Emily was strong that she was also very scared of her. I mean, I wasn’t really interested when I was a kid.
Leroy-Beaulieu reveals the secret to Sylvie's bad temper and what the French really think about the show. By Mary Elizabeth Williams. Senior Writer ...
I was in comedies because I needed to go back to my Italian roots, in a way. She was a beach girl living in the south of France and she had to go to Paris and become Sylvie Grateau, which is a totally different character. There's that line, "Your enemy is your master," and I look at life like that. I was raised in Rome, and the Italians have a huge sense of humor. There were moments that were really difficult and I thought, "I'm just going to go into the country and just start planting whatever, eggplant, and just do nothing else." But it's also a responsibility in a way because of my age and my experience. There's a word in French called râler that means we kind of complain all the time — the French don't see that anymore. So I read the part and when I read the scenes that they gave me, I thought, "I know this person so well. That was really present at the beginning of the show. Then there was a callback, and I was super surprised. I read and then I didn't hear about them for a month and a half. What drew you to this darker kind of a character?

Emily loses her job at Gabriel's restaurant but finds employment with Sylvie. Camille's parents hate Emily, which makes sense. A recap and review of season ...
Emily swears to Sylvie that the pet-filter and the canned-cocktail pitches had no ulterior motive and she was only trying to help. At the gallery that night, Camille’s mom reports to her daughter that she ought to be VERY worried about how close Emily and Gabriel are in that restaurant. So she humbles herself and deigns to check Emily’s Instagram so she can track her down. There is a very heated discussion over calling 911, and it is not at all shocking to learn that Emily doesn’t know the 911-equivalent number of the country where she has been living for almost a year. But this lunch is interrupted by a table beside them ordering the Kir Royale, and Sylvie thinks the universe is giving her a sign. Camille’s mom spots Sylvie and reports that Emily is working at Gabriel’s restaurant. Anyway, Emily has a list of things to do while she focuses on LIFE, and they include “have sex in the middle of the day” (Has she not done that yet? Camille is dressing like an American girl’s idea of a parody of a French person (beret wrapped in a netted veil and also, suspenders??) to give a hot artist, Sofia, a tour of her gallery space. She ought to hire a business manager so she can focus her energies on creative! Unfortunately, Sylvie is stuck dealing with administrative bullshit instead of sleeping soundly next to her beautiful boyfriend, and to get herself out of this red tape, she texts Laurent, her hot “ex” husband. Over at Savoir, Sylvie has inherited the pet-food account, brought to her by Julien and Luc, and is using Emily’s pet filter (though she does not know its origin). Later, Camille is wearing an enormous neon-green suit jacket to discover that Emily quit her job three days prior.
We're of course expecting Collins to return as Emily, along with Ashley Park as Mindy, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Camille Razat as Camille, Philippine Leroy- ...
He also wouldn’t be against seeing more of Alfie’s life with a little excursion to London, a “little cheeky weekend away.” He adds, “And it’d be cool to see a little bit of where Alfie’s from, I guess. He tells ELLE.com that “there’s a lot more story to tell here and we’re not wrapping things up anytime soon.” That includes season 4. “I mean, it’s a never-ending source of fun that we have at our doorsteps.” He says his “dream” is “to keep this gravy train going and just to kind of really kind of live in this world a little bit longer.” He adds, “The writers on the show and the creators behind it and everyone that comes into contact with it is so amazing and fantastic. (To help give you a sense of the potential timeline, Emily’s boss Madeline was in the beginning of her pregnancy at the start of the series, and then gave birth in season 3.) Star adds, “Who knows, but…there’s still a little time before we have to worry about a baby.” “I hope they keep working together and they keep butting heads and they keep finding solutions; I love our dynamics,” he says. “I think my biggest hope is if we do do a Eurovision [storyline], is that we get to do another original song,” Park says. “That would be fun,” she responds. “We can see Luc at work every time, but in that season, at the end, we discover something of his private life. Still, the season doesn’t seem to be finished quite yet; as Lily Collins told ELLE.com that she and Lucas Bravo had to be careful about filming the final scene of season 3 “because we don’t know how [season] four starts.” “That would be nice to see.” We’re also hoping to see more of Samuel Arnold as Julien, Lucien Laviscount as Alfie, and Kate Walsh as Madeline, though the way events transpired in season 3 makes it unclear whether they’ll return.
'Emily in Paris' Season 3 Episode 3 recap: Emily and Madeline run into some issues at Savoir as Sylvie plots to get her old office space back.
She turns to Madeline and tells her that no, she’s not going back to Chicago, and she’s staying in Paris. The dissolution of Savoir seems to barely phase Emily, who seems way too chill for someone who is newly unemployed in a foreign city. Emily and Madeline arrive to a building where the elevator is still broken, but to make matters worse, the heat is also on in the middle of summer, the windows are sealed shut and Henri won’t answer Emily’s calls. That night, Alfie is hanging out with Gabriel at his restaurant, and the show attempts to explain Hot Chef’s notably smaller role this season when he says he’s so busy with work that he doesn’t have as much time with Camille. Emily does not take the news well, visibly wilting a bit before she turns to look out of Madeline’s window and onto the city below, which gives her a quick perk up. But, as much as Emily wants to shrug off her work duties for the day, Alfie surprisingly says they need to get up and get out, and off to the office she goes. Madeline tests it out, charmed as she transforms herself into a cat on screen, but her delight quickly fizzles when a pigeon finds its way into the office, bringing with it some Three Stooges-level antics. Out on the streets of Paris, Emily has apparently given up on fixing the elevator after calling Luc, and is instead dedicating her time to taking pictures of random dogs on the street for a new client (this seems unethical or misleading, but okay). she’s serving up at dinner and promises to treat Emily and Madeline “like pests” to force them out and get Sylvie back in. Henri is rightfully a bit skeptical, asking why Sylvie never spoke to him when they worked in the same building, but she tells him, “I was very intimidated by you.” Sylvie, intimidated? Elsewhere in Paris, Sylvie is plotting away at a dinner with Luc and Henri, her former building manager. But, this being Sylvie, she has a quick fix: force Emily and Madeline out, and regain control of the old Savoir space.
Netflix's "Emily in Paris" is coming back for a fourth season! Here's what we know so far.
Netflix still hasn't confirmed when Emily in Paris season 4 comes out, but you already know we'll be on the lookout for more details. Right after the season two finale in January 2022, Netflix posted a photo of Lily Collins with an announcement that two more seasons of Emily in Paris are hitting the streamer. Here's everything we know about Emily in Paris season four so far.
Netflix's hit rom-com series featuring the misadventures of Lily Collins as Emily Cooper has been renewed for a fourth season. Here's everything to know ...
"I don't know that Gabriel is in the best place to start a relationship with Emily," Star elaborated. "I don't have one strong idea at the moment of who she is going to be with." All the usuals will most likely be back for Season 4. [Ashley Park](https://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/ashley-park/3000308803/)) and her ex-boyfriend have been accepted into the Eurovision song competition, so we can probably count on that as a storyline too. In the meantime, here's everything we know about what's next for Emily in Paris Season 4. Basing our predictions on the events that transpired in Season 3, Emily and Gabriel will once again be single, meaning we could potentially see Netflix having the two star-crossed lovers getting back together in a typical rom-com trope move. "Emily is still going to be working with Alfie, Gabriel, and Camille. Meanwhile, Gabriel and Camille will have to navigate this new concept of having a baby without being in a relationship. After Savoir's parent company pulls the plug on operations in France, Emily's boss Madeline ( [Kate Walsh](https://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/kate-walsh/3000385385/)) goes home to Chicago while Emily chooses to stay in Paris, ultimately getting her job back at Sylvie's ( [Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu](https://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/philippine-leroy-beaulieu/3000423698/)) new firm. Once again, Netflix has us wrapped around its little finger with the latest bingeworthy season of Emily in Paris. That's a lot to digest, but we'll have plenty of time to let it all soak in before another season returns. On the relationship front, things were going great for Emily and her boyfriend Alfie ( [Lucien Laviscount](https://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/lucien-laviscount/3000093687/)), while there was some trouble in paradise between Gabriel ( [Lucas Bravo](https://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/lucas-bravo/3030878996/)) and Camille ( [Camille Razat](https://www.tvguide.com/celebrities/camille-razat/3000271742/)) (the latter is having a secret affair!).
Here's who Emily ends up with in "Emily in Paris" season three after her love triangle with Alfie and Gabriel.
After Mindy thanks the crowd, Emily steps up onto the stage and starts singing the words to “Alfie” in a declaration of her feelings for him. That evening, Gabriel, Camille and Emily go to watch Mindy sing in a riverside performance as part of Fête de la Musique—a Parisian celebration of the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. Episode three begins with a shot of Emily and Alfie in bed, having reinvigorated their relationship. I like him and I like him for you.” He apologizes for not telling her and they meet up for dinner to talk about their future. “What’s it all about, when you sort it out, Alfie.” Emily confesses she hasn’t heard the song but admits she deserves the silent treatment from him. In the second episode of season three, things get even messier between Madeleine, the head of Savoir, and Sylvie, who’s broken away from Savoir to start her own marketing agency. [Camille](https://stylecaster.com/beauty/camille-razat-beauty/), and Emily’s feelings for him carry through to season two. “I get it, your career means a lot to you,” he tells her. “No, you mean so much to me,” she responds. They first slept together at the end of season one, unbeknown to If you’re a Francophile/Emily in Paris obsessive, you’ll know Emily (Lily Collins) has put herself in a rather complicated love triangle at the end of season two.
Lily Collins and her "Emily in Paris" character aren't the only ones who've used hairstyling as catharsis. Here's what other stars have said.

Emily attempts to get Sylvie's agency (and herself) in a high-profile column called “La Liste.” Sparks fly between and Mindy and Nicolas. A recap and review ...
Mindy gets a delivery of flowers before her show, but they are not from Benoit, who is performing with her tonight (“You’re WELCOME, Benoit” — a thing Mindy could’ve said but did not). So Emily is summoned to Sylvie’s office for a confab about this insubordination-slash-failure. But for now, let’s watch Emily make everything about work, again: The sunscreen is called Le Soleil, and Emily thinks the song Benoit wrote for Mindy, “Mon Soleil” (for which there is somehow already a remix?), would be perfect for a commercial. Emily reports the makeout to Mindy by calling it an “affair,” and Mindy, correctly, says, “An affair? Though Sylvie is worried that Emily’s Outback Steakhouse anecdotes will derail lunch, I fear that Emily will accidentally get herself on the list and alienate Sylvie in the process, and (spoiler) I am right. Is she — gasp — good at her job today??) Given that Janine and her list are so important, I’m surprised so little basic intel about her has made its way to the formerly-known-as-Savoir offices, but everyone is shocked to discover that Janine isn’t French. I don’t see a pool, but there’s this weird mix of outfits and I can’t tell if Emily’s is part swimsuit beneath its layers of fringe. The JVMA party is a sunblock launch for which Nicolas secured Mindy and Emily some VIP lounge chairs. Alfie got a new place, and Emily is forcing him to throw a housewarming. As some of you surely know from efforts to score a work visa yourselves, Sylvie must make the case that Emily is better at her job than any French person would be. If you’re not gonna be protagonist material, get out of the way and let this show be about someone I can actually get behind! First of all, Emily is literally wearing a bra instead of a shirt …
Emily in Paris boss Darren Star reveals what Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Camille's (Camille Razat) pregnancy bombshell means for Emily's (Lily Collins) ...
Star: Nicolas is a very smart character, but I think he is also a tricky guy. How is she feeling going into Season 4 and about that relationship? I don't know that Gabriel is in the best place to start a relationship with Emily. Gabriel says that his dreams of becoming a father started flourishing after the visit to the Michelin star restaurant. I am not sure that Emily wants a relationship with Gabriel under the circumstances, so we'll have to see how things happen with them. It really inspired him to make more of a commitment to their relationship and to the life that the wants. I think he represents a little bit of the Mindy who used to be, who she is very comfortable with. It's a bit explosive at the wedding and I am not sure how quick he's going to recover from this. From the time he took over his own restaurant, to making a choice to be with Camille, I think he's also closing down more romantic fantasies. It's a little complicated for Emily to jump into that with Gabriel so quickly. Things became more explosive when that engagement turned into a surprise wedding, which Camille shut down at the altar when she confessed to sabotaging Emily and Gabriel getting back together instead of saying her vows. He broke up with Emily on the spot and stormed out of the church, yet that wasn't even the most dramatic part of the episode.
'Emily in Paris' Season 3 Episode 4 recap: Emily enjoys her time in Paris without having to worry about work, but immediately finds a new job.
Emily, of course, accepts, but has to cross one final thing off her bucket list: ferris wheel sex with Alfie, who I’m beginning to suspect serves the sole purpose of wearing a sharp suit and talking about work, because that’s all he’s been doing this season. We never see what happens to the unlucky diner), she’s let go from Gabriel’s restaurant, but not before he delivers a speech about how she’s “making life into work” and needs to “take the time to live.” After admitting she made up a lie to get Sofia away from the clingy gallery patron, Sofia thanks her and says the guy wasn’t her type. Camille is calm and collected though, and brushes off her mom’s words as she moves over to “rescue” Sofia, who is being cornered by an older man. After their meeting, Camille leaves the agency with her parents, and she FINALLY admits that she did something wrong by breaking her pact with Emily and reconciling with Gabriel. Still, she somehow pulls it off and manages to charm everyone so much that even one of her tables wants to take a selfie with her.
SPOILER ALERT: The story includes details about Season 3 of Netflix's Emily In Paris Do not read before you have binged all 10 episodes.
And I think Emily, her feet are on the ground a little bit more, so I think she’s dealing with a somewhat ordinary issue — the way we’d play with it in our Emily in Paris fashion — but I felt like we couldn’t ignore it completely. STAR: I think we wanted to touch on the realities a little bit more, I feel like this season the show has become a little more grounded. There’s a stigma, and it didn’t help the way she was portrayed, with the shoplifting and the other stuff. STAR: In terms of everyone that’s working for Sylvie, they’re all talented people, and I think Emily comes in with this sense of drive and ambition that maybe they never felt they needed to express in quite that way. I think that Julien, throughout the season, has been very vocal in terms of felling that he’s been treated unfairly there, If you look at it, Emily is a strong character who came into this mix with strong ideas, and I think Julien, who was sort of Emily’s biggest ally at the beginning, now felt a little sidelined. I think we’d like to look at it maybe in a more straightforward way. And I think that will come to a head a bit more this season just because we’re going to see them spending more time together. I don’t know that that is a relationship that’s over, and I think that there was a romantic spark between the two of them that I feel like we’ve never seen between Camille and Gabriel. I think Season 4 is about how to balance business and toxic relationships, because that’s going to be happening with a lot of our characters. I don’t think that makes Alfie out of the show. They’re finally open about their feelings — they have to thank Camille for that — but now it’s a very new stage in their relationship with Gabriel’s baby on the way that will always tie him to Camille, so it’s a very unusual triangle. She had crossed the line so many times in the past and and now finally she got the prize, a chance to marry Gabriel.

But maybe she’s doing it because she’s pregnant and she thinks that’s the way it has to be. Only once in the actual chapel, Camille realises she can't in fact marry him – sounding the death knell for their relationship (and, too, Emily and Alfie's) when she says in front of the congregation: 'Gabriel, the only reason we're together is because I knew you were in love with Emily. She also admits to Gabriel that she made a pact with Emily to keep them apart and ensure she would not lose him. Still, she appears to be committed to Alfie and sits beside him in the chapel as they wait for Camille and Gabriel to say, “I do.” Emily seems to be all in on her relationship with Alfie for most of the season. Gabriel reveals the real reason Camille cut her trip to Greece short: She is pregnant. Outside, Emily and Gabriel have a conversation where he asked about her feelings for him. Alfie, and the rest of the guests, are stunned by the information. Emily and Sylvie outsmart Nico in order to keep Pierro in chart, embarrassing Nico in front of his father. In the finale, Emily finally chooses between Alfie and Gabriel and also mends her relationship with Mindy after some slight tension in their friendship. Alfie and Emily travel together to the French countryside for Camille and Gabriel’s engagement party. Gabriel opens up about his relationship problems with the gallerist and confesses that some of them stem from his being in love with Emily. Camille ends her trip to Greece early to have a conversation with Gabriel. Throughout the season, Emily and Alfie’s relationship appears to grow stronger.
Is the McDonald's McBaguette in 'Emily in Paris' Season 3 real? Here's everything we know about the special menu item and a review from Samuel Arnold.
[French McDonald’s restaurants first launched the McBaguette in 2012](https://www.nbcnews.com/business/markets/mcdonalds-goes-gallic-mcbaguette-burger-flna192677), but the international menu item was only available for a limited time. (In the past, the sandwich was also available with chicken tenders instead of beef patties.) And they made it for the show as well, so that was a nice day of shooting,” Arnold laughed. He got a new job as Associate Manager of Global Partnerships for McDonald’s and suggested she run the marketing for the launch of the McBaguette. Professional chef Gabriel admitted he loves treating himself to McDonald’s every once in a while, and honestly? For those wondering “Is the McBaguette real?” The answer is yes!
"Emily in Paris" season 3 creator Darren Star reveals everything about that shocking finale with Camille, Gabriel, and Emily.
But what's bad/complicated for Camille, Gabriel, Emily, and Alfie is good for viewers, as the latest twist certainly infuses the series with plenty of interesting avenues to explore in seasons four and beyond. Then, in the most shocking development, Gabriel told Emily that the reason he wanted to rush a wedding between him and Camille was because she's pregnant. (Cut to Alfie and Emily's shocked faces.) Not only did this seem to mark the end of Alfie and Emily as a couple, but Gabriel still doesn't know that Camille has been having an affair with gallery curator Sofia.
Our return to Paris has been a long time coming, and season three sees us diving right back into Emily's never-ending love triangle with Alfie and Gabriel. Argh ...
'Cause there is NO way a whole French office would switch to speaking English for one American employee." Still, viewers have noticed a shift for season three - and that's the French characters actually speaking more French, rather than English. However, all that aside, others have been super keen to praise the show for one particular season three change.

Thus far, critics have not been impressed by the third season of 'Emily in Paris'. "A protagonist doesn’t have to be likable, but she does have to be watchable, and Emily has been nearly unwatchable in the first two seasons. The show follows her struggles in her workplace as she falls in love and has to face the cultural values of a country that is quite different from her conservative upbringing.
Netflix series "Emily in Paris" Season 4 is about Emily making a choice between her heart and mind in both her romantic and professional life.
He refused to be her second choice and asked her to be with the man she loved. She admitted that she had always been in love with him, and he disclosed that he felt the same way. Season 4 of “Emily in Paris” has a lot to answer and, of course, unite the lovers that the audience has been longing to see. She, too, wondered why she chose to remain married even though they were mostly living their separate lives, but eventually, it became evident that the two had always been in love. She enjoyed the comfort and consistency that Alfie brought to their relationship, and she wanted to maintain it. She fell in love with the food and confirmed that if the restaurant continued to maintain the same quality, it would surely be awarded a Michelin star. She had finally struck a balance between work and life, and she could not risk it for anything unstable. It was not easy for Emily to get over the fact that Alfie had lied to her all this time, but at the same time, she knew that she, too, did not value his presence as much as she should have. Without giving it a thought, Camille decided to follow her heart, and she went with Sofia to Greece. After Sylvie and the rest of the French employees left Savoir and started their own marketing agency, Emily had to make the most difficult career choice—she could either work for Savoir and climb the ladder, or she could settle in Paris and work for her colleagues turned friends to help them turn their new marketing firm into a success. Even though she knew how problematic the entire situation was, she chose to stay out of it. While Emily adored Alfie, it was not easy for her to ignore her affection for Gabriel.
The season 3 premiere of "Emily in Paris" introduces the McBaguette from McDonald's. The snack is real and can be purchased at McDonald's in France.
It was introduced at 1,228 restaurants, and since then, has reappeared on the menu once a year for short spans of time. Turns out, the savory snack is real and can be purchased at McDonald’s throughout France. Emily Cooper’s ex, Doug, calls from Chicago and announces that he’s been named the Associate Manager of Global Partnerships for McDonald’s.
Darren Star on the third and newest season of Emily in Paris, girlbosses, and attachment theory.
She came to Paris for a job that gave her a sense of purpose; for the episodes where she was out of work, it was like her whole life is up in the air because she made a decision to stay in Paris for a job and that’s also why she [originally] came to the city. I think sort of that controlling aspect of her personality backfires on her quite often. This season, Emily faces the consequences of her avoiding confrontation both at work and in her personal life. Emily is continually, by the fact that she’s living in France, being put in situations where she is forced to find a little work-life balance. But I definitely feel she’s softened in that respect since she arrived in Paris to the end of season three—she’s a different person now. I don’t think she needs to run the world, but she likes to work. And throughout the series, a running storyline is how her American work ethic of living to work instead of working to live is perpetually putting her close relationships in peril. I think she’s doing it because it gives her life a lot of meaning and she can she enjoys it. Plus, she made a decision to make a life in Paris. This season, I also feel we spent more time getting to know the rest of the ensemble. Perhaps the most outsize example of Star’s brand of fantasy has been [Netflix’s Emily in Paris](https://time.com/6129566/lucien-laviscount-alfie-emily-in-paris-season-2/), the effervescent series he created about Emily (Lily Collins), an indefatigable optimistic and career-obsessed American in Paris, whose work and play in the City of Love, are truly the stuff of dreams. Here are all the details about what went down in the season 3 finale of Netflix's "Emily in Paris."
After chaos ensued at Camille and Alfie left the engagement party, Gabriel and Emily were left alone on the terrace with their thoughts. The possibility of Gabriel and Emily ending up together may be a plot point for season four, but we'll have to wait and see. In the final episode of season three, Camille called off her engagement with Gabriel because of the remaining feelings between him and Emily. At her engagement party, she announces that she had made a pact with Emily to not date Gabriel and that she had broken it to end up with him. We almost went throughout the entire season without Emily's love life bursting into flames until Gabriel drunkenly called her and revealed that he still had feelings for her. She also confronted her mom for pressuring her to follow through with her plan to keep Gabriel to herself and called off the engagement before storming out of the party.
"Emily in Paris' Season 3. Review. An original Netflix series starring Lily Collins.
While the first season image of a high-strung American with tunnel vision is thankfully long gone, replaced by the remorseful student on her way to conversational French, Emily still has a ways to go in terms of character development. It seems that the high-striving marketing expert and part-time social media influencer should probably have taken the advice of her peers to just slow down. This also seems to conclude the relationship between Emily and Alfie, who definitely didn't sign up for any of this drama. In a fit of fiery frustration at the altar, the would-be bride-to-be exposes the dalliance between Gabriel and Emily. As Madeline makes the decision to move back to Chicago and close Savoir for good, the time has come for Emily to determine if she'll stay in Paris permanently or return to America. Meanwhile, Emily scores the opportunity to market the newest addition to McDonald's menu, the McBaguette.
Gabriel mentions Emily's bangs and she snaps at him. emily shouting on episode one of emily in paris season three. Emily cuts bangs in a moment of panic.
But arriving unapologetically in the loudest way possible makes the moment even harder to watch. He said he didn't want to because it was written as a special love song for Mindy and he makes her feel bad about it. Gabriel asks Emily to go out for drinks while Camille is in Greece. She can't seem to use any technology effectively, even though she works in a field that relies heavily on social media. But the moment effectively ruins the platonic friendship they'd been working on building up after their fling. The moment is frustrating to watch. When Sylvie was at Savoir, she never bothered to talk to or even acknowledge Henri, the building manager. Since Emily has decided to stay in Paris, it seems like learning the language should be a higher priority. The moment is intended to be romantic. But it still seems odd that there wouldn't at least be subtitles. Her change in hairstyle is commented on throughout the episode, including when Gabriel asks, "Are you OK? What did you do to your hair?"
Camille and Gabriel are going to get married, but a series of revelations and twists has consequences for them, Emily, Alfie, Laurent, and Sylvie.
[it was Madeline’s accidental pregnancy](https://www.vulture.com/article/emily-in-paris-season-1-episode-1-recap-emily-in-paris.html) that allegedly made it impossible for her to go to Paris in the first place, which is why this show is about Emily at all.) Two times in three seasons? She explains that she really thought she was doing the right thing by sticking to the pact (ugh) but that she has always had feelings for him. This is the second time this show is relying on an unplanned pregnancy to move the plot forward. Later, while Camille is on the phone with (presumably) Sofia, Emily overhears her, gets busted, and fesses up that she knows about the kiss and everything else. Like, what if you were just a plus-one at this thing, with no emotional investment in the players, but got to watch it all go up in flames like this? Emily is in an extremely frouffy dress that is mini in the front and flowing in the back, and while it’s not my thing, I do think it’s occasion appropriate and in character. Emily’s all “as long as it has nothing to do with me” (which is a weird comment if she is trying to be an adult about it and not say anything!), and Mindy replies with a PERFECT “Emily, stop making everything about you!” While Emily meddles in the kitchen over the Michelin inspector in residence, Alfie sidebars with Mindy and tells her what really went down between Nicolas and Emily at the party. At the party, Camille’s mom is laying it on real thick (as is her standard practice) with her daughter: You and I are so alike … Personally, I would riot if someone did this to me, especially if that someone were, like, the best friend of my nemesis, but somehow the party just resumes as if this never happened. Seems unlikely to me, but I won’t rule it out.) While Nico is being excessively late to come get her, Benoit pops over to tell Mindy that the reason he didn’t let her use their song for the sunscreen commercial is because he submitted it to Eurovision and they got in. Sylvie assures Julien that she wants him to be happy here and will handle the Emily situation. However, I would give my KINGDOM for a title card at the start of this episode to tell me how long it has been since the events of the previous one!
'Emily in Paris' Season 3 Episode 7 recap: Emily and Gabriel almost go on a date, and Mindy finally confirms her suspicions about Nicolas.
While they’re having fun, Mindy is wrapping up her night with Nicolas and he asks her to get a drink before they both confess they can’t tell if the other likes them. Emily and Gabriel are also ending their night and walking back up the stairs of their apartment building, where he confesses his issues with Camille, who is not being very communicative. Later that night, Mindy is getting ready to go to the movie with Nicolas and has tried on an outfit that arrived at her apartment addressed to Emily from Gregory. He’s clearly frustrated, too, and says the designer is “infuriating” and “never satisfied.” This time, he wants her to bring friends to a movie that night, and who better to invite than Emily, who says she wants to come … When they arrive, he yanks them into the space and complains that JVMA is screwing with his vision, telling Sylvie, “No one at JVMA cares what I think.” Still, Sylvie cautions him against leaving.
Now, we're shocked and then we're not – because as we start episode two of Emily in Paris – Emily still has a job. Yes, Sylvie fired her, but Madeline, ...
And look, my idea of fashion is limited, but the dress that they both choose is a nightmare. Speaking of working shit out – Emily needs to do that with Alfie. I admit that I watched that through my shirt, cause I felt embarrassed, but also was like we should all have that kinda courage to fight for the ones that we love. I am thankful that Mindy is willing to put herself out there and in a kind way tell Emily just how stupid she’s being when it comes to Alfie. Sylvie has learned after refusing Madeline’s offer that she needs to speak with Luc and Julien. Now, I do get this and I do think it’s admirable, but I also do think that she needs a job. TBH, she needs to realize that she’s sabotaging her own relationships and that’s part of the problem. Alfie put himself out there and Emily just didn’t react in a way that would make him (or anyone really) see that she cares. Now, before I start complaining even more, I am loving season 3, but I really wish that we would have had Emily choosing Sylvie, and Savior going strong and that would have led to people competing against each other. Only he didn’t tell Emily and that’s all that she can focus on. What she sees is that she needs to make things right, because she screwed up. I mean when starting a new company, I would think it’s one of the first things that someone would do.
The series follows Emily Cooper, an American marketing executive living in the French capital, but it gets some things wrong about Paris in season 3.
One of the tactics he employs is releasing a live pigeon in the office. The driver helps her bring him up the stairs, all the way to his apartment on the fourth floor. Friends and lovers would definitely use the tu form to address each other. Even after being in France for so long, Emily still hasn't seemed to learn much about the way of life there. Most of the French women I know only wear heels for special occasions. So, she ends up calling him Ted instead. After living in France for around a year, I think she definitely would've come across these words. She always interrupts other people's pitches, is seemingly always on her phone during work hours, and usually doesn't do what her boss Sylvie asks. Emily's French has improved since the series started. Henri, the building manager of the Savoir office, is on a mission to make the Americans — namely Madeline and Emily — leave the premises on episode three. Everything seems to work out too easily for Emily. I would too.
