A dance at the Civic Center and fireworks along the Pecos River await New Year's Eve celebrations for Carlsbad residents welcoming 2023.

Ground audible and aerial fireworks devices are not allowed in the City of Carlsbad city limits, according to city law. The City of Carlsbad Transit System offered safe rides for New Year’s partiers beginning at 6 p.m. 1, stated an announcement from the City of Carlsbad. The party concludes at 1 a.m. Sunday at 11:15 p.m. the Civic Center at 4012 National Parks Highway.
