Prosecutor seeks nine-point deduction for Juventus (Reuters)

An Italian soccer prosecutor has requested that Juventus be docked nine points in Serie A this season because of the way it accounted for player transfers.

Juventus has been hit with a massive 15-point penalty for false accounting following an appeal hearing at the Italian soccer federation.

Juventus was already eliminated from the Champions League in a horrible start to this season, which also saw it win only two of its opening nine Serie A matches. But prosecutors claim the players gave up only one month’s salary. Juventus has denied wrongdoing and was initially cleared by the sports court in April.

Juventus points deduction, executive bans possible (World Soccer Talk)

A Juventus points deduction is possible due to ongoing investigation by an Italian court for financial irregularities.

The court will then issue a verdict on the case. Despite the mass resignation in recent months, Juve have maintained their innocence. A total of 15 officials working with the Italian club were named in the initial investigation. During his first season with the Premier League side, Paratici brought in three former Juve players to Spurs. The club is currently sitting third in the Italian top flight standings, 10 points behind league leaders Napoli.
