The reality is that, as at 2016, 3.2 million South Africans were cohabiting outside of marriage and that number was reported to be increasing.” The woman explained in an affidavit before court that they had met at a gym while the man was married. The relationship, however, finally broke down last year and the man eventually moved out. Three children were born from the relationship. The parties were involved in a romantic relationship for more than nine years before the man eventually left the family home. As the law does not make provision for this, and in light of him refusing to financially maintain her, she has turned to court in a bid for the common law to allow for maintenance.

Top 3 Dozer Maintenance Tips (Plus A Bonus) (ForConstructionPros.com)

You know the basics: Check the oil. Change the filters. Grease the moving parts. But where else should you focus your dozer maintenance efforts?

When material gets packed into the undercarriage, it can cause the track to tighten and increase wear on moving components. To avoid premature wear and unnecessary service procedures, remind your dozer operators: And be sure to keep monitoring the tension as your working and weather conditions change. The best strategy is to keep an eye on cleanliness during your walkaround and remove any excess debris from the frame. An undercarriage walkaround at the start of every shift is an easy way to prevent failures, extend life and lower operating costs. (Too-loose track is also a problem — you could end up throwing it off and waste time getting it back on.) Good news: Checking and adjusting track tension on your dozer isn’t hard.

Nornickel forecasts output drop in 2023 due to planned maintenance (Creamer Media's Mining Weekly)

In the fourth quarter, nickel production rose by 1% quarter on quarter to 59 735 t, while palladium production fell 7%to 662 000 oz and platinum output fell by 6% to 160 000 oz, Nornickel said. The company's nickel output in 2023 is set to fall between 2.2% and 7%, according to Reuters calculations, to 204,000-214,000 tonnes, with palladium production seen 8%-14% lower than in 2022 in the range of 2 451 000 oz to 2 708 000 oz. Palladium production for the year rose 7% to 2 790 000 oz, above the forecast of 2 451 000 oz to 2 708 000 oz. "We increased the output of all key metals: copper and platinum production was in line with the guidance, while nickel and palladium output outperformed it," Operational Director Sergey Stepanov said in a statement. The resumption of production at two mines hit by flooding in 2021 and postponing the Nadezhda maintenance helped Nornickel post a 13% year-on-year increase in nickel output to 218,970 tonnes last year, above guidance of 205 000 t to 215 000 t. MOSCOW - Russian metals producer Norilsk Nickel said on Tuesday it expected its nickel and palladium production to fall this year due to planned refurbishment at its Nadezhda metallurgical plant after posting higher than forecast output in 2022.

“The orange sensors continuously collect temperature and vibration measurements and send these metrics to the AWS cloud to be analyzed in real time using machine learning modeling that can predict when a part might stop working.” Jassy noted that the Monitron system recently alerted the team that one of the center’s induction belts used for sorting and moving packages might fail soon. The Amazon Monitron system also includes Wi-Fi and Ethernet gateways to transfer the sensor data to AWS. User feedback on alerts, such as failure mode, failure cause, and action taken can be entered into the Monitron system, which learns from that feedback as well as the real-time data it collects to continually improve over time using its ML technology. Up to 20 Amazon Monitron sensors can be connected at a time with one Amazon Monitron gateway. The sensors measure 2.08x1.69x0.98 inches, weigh 54 grams, and have an IP69 rating (protection against objects, dust, and liquids entering the device enclosure). Now the company is introducing its Monitron predictive maintenance and machine learning (ML) products.
