“When is a door not a door?” · Triskelion Jar · Nogitsune flies · Allison at the Vet Clinic · Lydia Writing Visions · Malia & Parrish · Camp Oak Creek.
The Jeep was Stiles' connection with his mom (“Teen Wolf” series) and it's now Eli's connection with his dad (Derek). The lore of the mountain ash is first seen in Season 1 Episode 11 “Formality” when Druid Emissary Alan Deaton reveals he has lined his animal clinic with both the wood of the tree and the mountain ash to prevent any supernatural clients from doing harm inside. All these years Scott kept the “good photo” of them (the one where his eyes not changing because of the flash), which was taken in Season 2 Episode 3 “Ice Pick.” When Allison appears at the vet clinic door and Scott answers, that is a direct call back to Season 1 Episode 1 “Wolf Moon” when Scott first meets Allison. A terrifying evil has emerged, and the wolves howl once again. It seems as though Eli will end up being the child Scott didn’t have the opportunity to have. Eichen House, the McCall House, and the boathouse in the Martin family lake house are also lined with mountain ash. That's a call back to the series and a running joke of Coach Finstock. For 4 seasons, Finstock blames the team's failings on a student who is never identified or seen playing and mocks his poor skills as a student in the classroom, as well. Allison uses a road flare to burn the wolfsbane out of Scott. Camp Oak Creek was an internment camp (aka relocation camp), located on the outskirts of Beacon Hills, in which Japanese immigrants and Japanese-American citizens were forced to stay after the events of the Pearl Harbor attack in World War II. The Triskelion Jar the hooded stranger is in search of is the jar that contains Talia Hale's claws following her death in the Hale House Fire.
Years after her tragic death, Allison Argent returns, but while it's supposed to be a reason for celebration, it poses a fresh mystery for the McCall Pack to ...
Aside from her involvement in figuring out the real reason behind the Beacon Hills fire, Lydia's return also effectively sets up a new Teen Wolf mystery after she revealed that she has broken up with Stiles because she started having nightmares of being in a car crash that kills him. The Teen Wolf Movie does a great job focusing on the McCall Pack and establishing what their lives have become since the finale. While the young werewolf doesn't have any personal ties to Allison and the mystery surrounding her return other than being a target because of his form, the Teen Wolf Movie did a great job establishing the character, making it the secondary plot. [Allison's return in the Teen Wolf Movie](https://screenrant.com/teen-wolf-movie-allison-return-trailer-reveals/) is part of the Nogitsune's plan. The Teen Wolf Movie doesn't reveal more information about Lydia's dreams, but it's a narrative that could be worth exploring moving forward. It could be the premise of a potential sequel film or spin-off. [Allison's Teen Wolf season 3 death](https://screenrant.com/teen-wolf-allison-death-crystal-reed-exit-reason/) is arguably the worst one. The McCall Pack's resident banshee was motivated to return to Beacon Hills after getting odd premonitions about Allison and her resurrection. Her resurrection was part of the Nogitsune's plan to kill Scott, so it can feed on Allison's pain — a reverse of what happened in [Teen Wolf](https://screenrant.com/tag/teen-wolf/) season 3. Years after her tragic death, Allison Argent returns, but while it's supposed to be a reason for celebration, it poses a fresh mystery for the McCall Pack to solve that's especially tricky to navigate since Scott is pitted against the love of life. Since she was gone for a long time, her next act could revolve around reincorporating herself into the team and the world, in general. More than a decade since Scott McCall and his pack dealt with Gerard Argent and the Anuk-Ite, a new mystery pulls them back to their hometown for a new mission.
Scott McCall and his wolf pack return in an overstuffed Paramount+ movie plagued by laughable special effects and fan service. And where's Stiles?!
And with a revival, which is ultimately an act of fan service, doing more is certainly a risk. And the resolution is too neat. Unfortunately, in the case of Teen Wolf: The Movie, the film’s mysteries aren’t labyrinthine enough—nor are the many action scenes compelling enough—to carry a film that’s over two hours long. The action, arguably the most disengaging part of the series, is still lackluster. Additionally, they’re avoiding a group of masked fighters known as the Oni (who have always looked too much like The Jabbawockeez to be taken seriously) as they mercilessly slaughter civilians on the Nogitsune’s behalf. Additionally, the movie is so plot-heavy that viewers don’t get an opportunity to sit with the characters they invested six years in or learn much about their current lives. Expanding the Teen Wolf universe without him is sort of like making a After gathering clues and wielding their magical abilities, they’re able to resuscitate her from a state of limbo (or “bardo”). The show’s creator and writer, Jeff Davis, brings back some of the series’ most fearsome bad guys for a final—but who can be sure?—battle between Beacon Hill’s good and evil supernatural communities. [the Twilight saga](https://www.thedailybeast.com/why-everyones-watching-twilight-during-the-pandemic) in the late 2000s and early 2010s birthed an entire industry of fantasy content featuring sultry vampires and shirtless werewolves. But Teen Wolf, presumably thanks to a built-in sci-fi/fantasy fanbase, sunk its teeth into the public in a way none of its network peers could. Unfortunately, Allison’s resurrection can’t make up for the absence of Teen Wolf’s No.
Teen Wolf: The Movie offers both substance and fan service, signaling an exciting potential return for the iconic supernatural YA franchise.
The titular torch is unexpectedly passed in Teen Wolf: The Movie, and it’s clear that the beloved supernatural franchise is in good hands with another teen wolf and their capable adult monster mentors — whether that’s in a new spinoff show, or movie sequels. Freed from the shackles of cable, Teen Wolf: The Movie has bare butts, f-bombs, and more blood than when the series lived on MTV. Teen Wolf: The Movie brings back show developer and executive producer Jeff Davis as the script writer and key episode director Russell Mulcahy to answer that question. The wolves are howling once again, 15 years after Season 6’s finale — as are the banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, and kitsunes of the Teen Wolf universe. Teen Wolf, the show, premiered on June 5, 2011 on MTV and concluded on Sept. After the bite-sized hole left in the wake of The Vampire Diaries (and spinoffs) and The Walking Dead (and spinoffs), it seemed like all hope was lost for creature feature shows that serve more drama than jump scares.

Teen Wolf: The Movie is about the release of the Nogitsune. Who brought the demon back and why? Here's what we know about the familiar character!
The movie is available to stream now on Paramount+. He’d done all that the Darach had told him to do and he was still betrayed. The last time we’d seen the Beacon Hills High science teacher, he’d been tied to a tree in the season 3 episode, “Unleashed,” and garrotted.

Teen Wolf: The Movie introduces a new character, Eli Hale, played by Vince Mattis, Derek’s 15-year-old son, among a long list of returning ones. Other roles that Roden has had include those of Erin Isaacs in the horror movie No Escape and Zoe Woods in the horror anthology series Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block on Syfy. Tyler Hoechlin reprises his role as Derek Hale in Teen Wolf: The Movie after making a brief appearance in the Teen Wolf series finale. The most unexpected aspect of Teen Wolf: The Movie is perhaps Crystal Reed’s comeback as Allison Argent, given that the character died in Teen Wolf season 3. Despite descended from French werewolf hunters, she joined the McCall pack and began a relationship with Scott instead of following in the ways of her forefathers. Teen Wolf: The Movie is one of the exciting projects planned for the expanding world because it effectively continues the story of the McCall pack.

Is Wolf Pack coming to Netflix? And yes, Wolf Pack is all about werewolves. Is it on Netflix? They become their own pack, and it’s time to learn what it means to be a werewolf. Yes, the Teen Wolf movie is out to stream. The series follows a group of teenagers who end up bitten by a werewolf and realize they will need to work together if they want to survive.
Scott McCall's Pack is back in Teen Wolf: The Movie but unlike the MTV series, the film has swearing and nudity which may be surprising. Here's why.
The fact that Teen Wolf aired on MTV for so many years and this marks the first time the cast returns on the small screen, it takes a little while to get used to this more mature take on the supernatural universe. Being on a streaming service frees the Teen Wolf movie of certain restrictions that the original show was subjected to when it was still on cable TV. In the middle of the story is the mysterious return of Allison Argent, who is embracing her hunter nature and goes after Scott and other werewolves in his pack.

The first mention of Stiles in the film is pretty simple. As Mason (Khylin Rhambo), Stilinski, and Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) work a crime scene, there's mention of ...
[Teen Wolf: The Movie](https://ew.com/creative-work/teen-wolf-the-movie/) and not at least mention Stiles. Before Stydia shippers start to riot, let's add that Lydia broke up with Stiles to protect him: She explains that she started to have a recurring dream where she and Stiles got in a car accident, and Stiles died. But as for why he doesn't return to Beacon Hills to help Scott and company deal with the Nogitsune — a villain that had a very personal connection to Stiles in season 3 — that's a little vaguer. So even if Stiles isn't in Beacon Hills, his Jeep always will be. After all, he's Stilinski's (Linden Ashby) son, Scott's ( [Tyler Posey](https://ew.com/person/tyler-posey/)) best friend, and Lydia's (Holland Roden) boyfriend. Well, now that the movie is out, we have the answer.
O'Brien explained last year why he opted not to reprise his fan-favorite character, Stiles, for the Paramount+ reunion movie.
"I lent them my Jeep for the movie. In other moments from the movie, Scott left a voicemail on his phone as he, Lydia and Malia (Shelley Hennig) searched for a sacred tree in their quest to save Allison from purgatory. "If I was never in the car with him, there wouldn't have to be a crash. I wish them well and I’m going to watch it the first night it comes out. I hope it f**king kicks a**, but I’m not going to be in it." O'Brien was later asked whether that meant he'd make a "surprise" appearance. "Ultimately, I just decided it was left in a really good place for me and I still want to leave it there. Anything," Scott said in his voicemail message. The 31-year-old actor made it clear last year that [he would not be reprising](https://www.etonline.com/teen-wolf-the-movie-cast-revealed-find-out-which-original-stars-are-not-returning-179424) his fan-favorite character for the movie. "[It] becomes this recurring dream until I can't tell anymore that it's a dream," she said. And yes, it had everything to do with Stiles. Jackson said in response, almost as an afterthought: "Stiles.
The Pack is back in Teen Wolf: The Movie, seemingly except for Stiles, aka Dylan O'Brien. But does his relationship with Lydia still exist?
Plus, with the main villain of the movie being the Nogitsune, a trickster spirit that possessed Stiles in Season 3, it is certainly odd to not have him appear in the film. Teen Wolf: The Movie is currently available to stream on Paramount+. Stile’s jeep is also a prominent part of the film, as Derek’s son, Eli, keeps trying to steal it, because he knows that Derek hates it. We can assume that he is still an FBI agent, but the most we get is his dad saying, “He’s got his own fires to put out.” So let us explain what actually goes down in the movie, and whether or not Stiles actually appears or is mentioned. Even though Stiles’ role was much more limited in the final season of the show – due to his rising stardom with the Maze Runner series – he and Lydia were still shown to be going strong.
Teen Wolf makes Derek a parent, but he seems to be a single parent. This leaves the question: Who is Eli Hale's mother?
Teen Wolf: The Movie is currently available to stream on Paramount+. We won’t spoil what happens with this trio by the end of the film in this article, but if you’re curious you can read about it However, Braeden doesn’t appear in the movie, and she and Derek may have long broken up, as they were two characters with a lot of baggage. Some fans may assume that Eli’s mother is Braeden, who was a recurring character in the show. Due to a traumatic incident when Eli was younger, he is having issues accessing his wolf powers. Which makes guessing who Eli’s mother is a lot more interesting.
Creator Jeff Davis also shares the conversation he had with O'Brien about the movie.
When a business decision is made, you have to see how it affects the creative and sometimes what you think is going to be bad for the movie turns out pretty good. So you have to want to be there if we’re gonna do this or not.” And he chose to leave the character where it was. I said to him on the phone, “the worst thing that could happen is for the audience to see you on screen and not want to be there. There was one moment where he said, “OK, maybe I’ll do a cameo.” Then another moment where he said, “Maybe I’ll do a few days of shooting.” But at a certain moment in the process I said, we’ve either gotta have him in it or not in it. As she saw it, “If I was never in the car with him, there wouldn’t be a crash, he wouldn’t have to die.” And she wouldn’t have to scream — or, as she reminded Harris of banshees, wail. You can leave it at the excuse that, oh, Stiles is off just doing something else while the movie happened. It makes for a good story. And I think he made the right decision for himself. As Harris said, Lydia’s heartbreak was a delicacy to the nogitsune, and he forced her to talk about why she left Stiles. Lydia had a dream of a crash, in which both had been through from the car. You broke up Stiles and Lydia. Was it only because Dylan didn’t return for the film, or was it also because of the story you wanted to tell with Lydia as a banshee?
Teen Wolf: The Movie sees the return of the Nogtisune, but how does the pack defeat it? And who dies at the end of the film?
The evil is defeated, Scott and Allison get back together, and everyone is happy and safe. Because one thing we forgot to mention is that since Scott bit the Nogitsune at the end of Season 3B, the Nogitsune is now also a werewolf. He turns to the camera and his eyes glow, as we hear Derek say, “Remember who you are.” Another teen wolf has officially arrive in Beacon Hills. Teen Wolf: The Movie is currently available to stream on Paramount+. This fight leads to Parrish, Scott, and Derek standing on the Nemeton, holding onto the Nogitsune, with Parrish (Ryan Kelley) burning up the demon for good with his Hellhound Hellfire. However, over the course of the film, she does regain these memories, and while she is originally manipulated by the Nogitsune to attack the werewolves, she later turns back to the side of good. When Scott and Allison arrive, the demon demands that Allison fire an arrow through Scott’s heart, in order to save everyone else, so that he can ultimately win “the game”. And who dies at the end of the film? He wants revenge on Scott and Lydia as he blames them for getting him (almost) killed by the Darach. However, he is rather easily stopped by Lydia and Jackson (Colton Haynes), and is arrested, then dragged to the infamous Eichen House. At the film’s beginning, a cloaked figure steals the tomb that holds the Nogitsune from Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) and Kira stand-in Hikari Zhang (Amy Lin Workman), and frees the trickster spirit. [Teen Wolf](https://www.dexerto.com/tag/teen-wolf/), the hit supernatural YA series from the early 2010s, has another instalment out now.
In the opening moments of the film, one of Beacon Hills' biggest villains, the Nogitsune, is freed. As a result, Allison (Crystal Reed) is brought back to life.
Toward the end of the film, as they face off against the Nogitsune, they realize that the only way to kill this thing is for Parrish (Ryan Kelley) to use hellfire. The bad news is that they lose Derek ( Thanks to [Teen Wolf: The Movie](https://ew.com/creative-work/teen-wolf-the-movie/), they also know what it is to have a long-dead character resurrected. It's later revealed that Allison is back so that, this time around, Scott can die in her arms (much in the way [she died in his in the show's third season](https://ew.com/article/2014/03/17/teen-wolf-post-mortem-crystal-reed-interview/)). [Teen Wolf](https://ew.com/creative-work/teen-wolf/) fans know what it is to lose a character they love. As a result, Allison (Crystal Reed) is brought back to life.

Because based on the first few episodes, despite a lot of fire, the show doesn’t generate much heat. Even so, the executive falls flat, while the timing mostly feels calibrated to help launch Davis’ new venture, “Wolf Pack,” which awkwardly combines a young-adult sensibility with more explicit sex, language and violence. Gellar (who receives an executive producer credit) plays an arson investigator looking into the cause of the fire, convinced that Everett might know more than he’s letting on about who (or perhaps what) is responsible. Those teens, Everett (Armani Jackson) and Blake (Bella Shepard), begin to experience unexpected side effects from that encounter, ranging from new-found vitality to six-pack abs and a cure for acne. Fox movie, the series “Teen Wolf” took a more ambitious leap into a soap-opera-flavored world filled with assorted supernatural creatures – including werewolves, banshees, hellhounds and shapeshifters – running for six seasons on MTV, concluding in 2017. In an interview with SFX magazine, Davis likened the movie to a seventh season of the show, and at well over two hours, it feels that way.
Without Arden Cho and Dylan O'Brien, the reunion fails to adequately celebrate the series' cult Tumblr status.
While Posey’s acting is fine and Hoechlin once again thrives in a father-figure role, the only person who seems to understand the show’s comedic potential is Haynes, leaving the rest of the cast floundering to legitimize a script that is, at its core, deeply unserious. Too bad, then, that all of the same problems that ended the series are still prevalent in Teen Wolf: The Movie, which throws away the show’s best camp impulses in one fell swoop. Arden Cho, who played the sword-wielding kitsune Kira Yukimura (and Posey’s love interest), was the first woman of color in a lead role on the show. Though Teen Wolf jumpstarted Hoechlin’s career, and made O’Brien a staple in the white-boy-of-the-month category, its popularity dropped in its fifth season, partially in response to the show’s (and Davis’) tendency to build up popular queer characters or characters of color only to discard them. While Cho barely warrants a mention in the film and O’Brien’s famous Jeep is elevated in his stead, Teen Wolf: The Movie still resurfaces the villains and storylines most closely associated with their characters, a decision that makes their absence feel even stronger. [teen wolf](https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/herschel-walkers-reacts-obama-werewolf-vampire-joke-1234641202/). I was saying ‘no’ because I hope that there will be more equality in the future.” When a big bad with a familiar face rears its head, Scott has to call in some reinforcements and hopes that the concentrated power of his pack is enough to save Beacon Hills. Add to all that the heyday of “I wasn’t saying ‘no’ necessarily for me or because I was angry. While creator Jeff Davis drags viewers along with the constant rhythm of familiar faces, the callbacks alone can’t justify the film’s existence — especially when it comes at the expense of its biggest fans. It’s an ending quip made by Dr.

It doesn’t take long for everyone to see through the illusion though thanks to a well-timed wolf howl that syncs everyone up again. Just when you thought Teen Wolf: The Movie had howled its last, the film cuts to Adrian Harris facing arrest in the dark of night. One of the most surprising plot twists in the Teen Wolf Movie is the return of Mr. Seeing Derek come back to the universe and re-team up with Scott and the McCall Pack was a treat. His future arc is teased at the end of the film, but it's unclear if his fate included becoming the next Alpha. His romance with Malia didn't come to fruition until Teen Wolf season 6 after a series of incidents that brought them closer as friends and allies. It was Alan Deaton who figured out the truth about Argent's state, but by then, Scott, Malia Tate, and Lydia Martin have already brought her back from the dead using the same Oni sword that killed her in Teen Wolf season 3. The couple was still going strong when the MTV series ended, so it was heartbreaking to learn that they have broken up. In the end, the Alpha is able to reconnect with his true love and recruit her to rejoin the McCall Pack as they go after the real villain of the Teen Wolf Movie. The weapon was in Argent's possession and used to further convince the Alpha to revisit Allison's death, but the Teen Wolf Movie didn't reveal how exactly he got his hands on it. The Teen Wolf Movie could have effectively tied this narrative loose end from the MTV show, but it's just another mystery left by the Paramount+ film. The actress turned down the project because of pay disparity issues, and her absence was largely felt in the narrative considering her ties to the Nogitsune and Oni. It is never brought up again, but it's certainly one of the most intriguing reveals in the film that a sequel could revisit later on. Dylan O'Brien's Stiles Stilinski wasn't in the Teen Wolf Movie but Sheriff Stilinski offers an explanation about his son's whereabouts.
Teen Wolf: The Movie saw Scott (Tyler Posey), Derek (Tyler Hoechlin), Lydia (Holland Roden), a resurrected Allison (Crystal Reed), and their friends go up ...
You take that risk and you have to take that risk. I knew that it had to be very heroic. It was a big decision, and I always feel that if you’re gonna do a movie as opposed to just another episode of TV or a reboot of a TV show, you need to make those big decisions and those big sacrifices. Because you never really want to do it just for the shock of it. So I called him one day when we knew we were getting closer to negotiations and that he was actually gonna do the movie and we were gonna find time in his schedule for it. Talk about the decision to kill Derek.
Paramount Plus released the Teen Wolf sequel movie (without Dylan O'Brien) and not quite a spinoff series Wolf Pack, on the same day. From Teen Wolf creator ...
Wolf Pack is darker and less fast-paced than Teen Wolf, a possible reflection of the fact that the show has already been picked up for an entire season on streaming and doesn’t depend on weekly ratings, giving it more time to ease into the story. And if the show continues to prioritize character over plot, Wolf Pack might do what The Movie couldn’t: thrive. Why is Scott out of touch with all the members of the pack he was so close to at the end of the series? Fans want to see that Teen Wolf can evolve, but The Movie feels stuck in the past. For all the surface-level callbacks, this is not a movie looking to put a bow on the series. Between all the forced action, the closest The Movie comes to a real relationship is Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) and his teenage son, Eli (Vince Mattis), who struggles to access his werewolf powers and feels insecure around his dad. [shared panels at SDCC and NYCC earlier this year](https://www.polygon.com/nycc/23393734/teen-wolf-movie-video-wolf-pack-trailer-nycc)), the two properties have nothing to do with one another, at least based on the two episodes of Wolf Pack previewed for critics. This is clear in how the film borrows heavily from the action of season 3 — the nogitsune and his shadow henchmen, the oni, were villains in the second part of the season — but reclaims almost none of the heart, sacrificing it to make room for dramatic entrances. But simply getting a beloved character like Peter (Ian Bohen) to walk out of the shadows and light a cigar with a blow torch doesn’t make up for the fact that the film isn’t additive. [season 3](https://ew.com/tv/ranking-every-season-of-teen-wolf/?slide=470190#470190), arguably the series’ best season, and coincidentally, the season Teen Wolf: The Movie borrows most from. In theory, now is the perfect time for a revival — which is why this week, we’re getting two attempts: The creatively titled [Teen Wolf: The Movie](https://www.polygon.com/sdcc/23273468/teen-wolf-the-movie-trailer-sdcc-paramount-plus), and a new series, [Wolf Pack](https://www.polygon.com/nycc/23393734/teen-wolf-movie-video-wolf-pack-trailer-nycc), which is only spiritually connected. And without Stiles, The Movie lacks both the heart and the humor that made the show so addictive.
The series, which was based on the 1985 movie of the same name starring Michael J. Fox, followed Scott McCall, a teenage boy from Beacon Hills, California, who ...

After the funeral scene, in which Sheriff Stilinski gives Eli Stiles' old Jeep; and after the tear-jerking montage scene of Derek Hale, which I refuse to ...
In the final shot of the movie, Eli—the new teen wolf—walks in slow-mo onto a cliff, overlooking Beacon Hills, while a full moon shines down. Parrish does, and both Derek and the demon burn to a crisp in a fiery ball of destruction. In case you forgot, the Eichen House is a mental health facility and former war hospital in Beacon Hills, that doubles as a prison ward for supernatural beings, guarded by a hellhound. And just in case you thought there might be a chance that Derek survived that encounter, Davis literally hammers the nail in Derek’s coffin by staging a funeral scene for the former alpha werewolf. Eli gets thrown to the side, and Derek and Scott struggle to contain the demon. They have to kill the demon somehow, and one easy way would be to have Jordan Parrish, their resident hellhound, light the demon on fire.

Scott McCall has brought together the McCall Pack in light of a new threat coming to Beacon Hills in Teen Wolf: The Movie.
After an impressive performance in Teen Wolf Season 2, Steiner is among the cast from the initial movie that won’t be featured in the Teen Wolf Movies. Lahey is another character from Teen Wolf 3 fans of the movie will miss. Stilinski is arguably the biggest absence from the Teen Wolf Movie.

In 2017, five years before Teen Wolf: The Movie was announced, O’Brien responded to rumors over a Teen Wolf film and confirmed that he wouldn’t return as Stiles. For me, it was my first role ever, so it would’ve been hard to eventually just not be a part of something that was still ongoing.” O’Brien also told Entertainment Tonight that the decision to return for Teen Wolf‘s finale was entirely his own. Why is Stiles not in Teen Wolf: The Movie? Read on for why Stiles isn’t in Teen Wolf: The Movie and the reason Dylan O’Brien didn’t return for the role. Though he didn’t return as Stiles for Teen Wolf: The Movie, he did reprise the role for the Teen Wolf‘s final season in 2017. I think we did a perfect job with it, you know, honestly.” He continued, “The Jeep is still a huge character in this movie. I think we pay it the most homage that we could have paid it, without actually having him on screen, you know?” Roden added, “I think the fans will not go hungry [laughs] with the Lydia-and-Stiles storyline. “We talked about him a lot, but still had to keep the story moving without him, because we couldn’t dwell on his absence for too long,” he told That’s the car my character drives in the show, yeah,” he said. What I’ve said is the truth, yeah, so I don’t know,” he said at the time. It was the first thing I ever did I and so many people there are extremely dear to me. “A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged.
However, there was almost certainly a silent anxiety around bringing back some of the most beloved characters in MTV's repertoire and risking uprooting the ...
It's that very fearlessness that is symbolic of what Teen Wolf has always been, a story of sacrifice in the name of love and family, and Teen Wolf: The Movie delivers on that with unapologetic might. In Scott's signature self-sacrificial optimism, he attempts to get through to Allison and remind her of who she is — and who he was to her. Where it really shines is in the same places the teen drama has always done so, in moments of love and humanity. But there is little time to dwell on the mediocrity of life outside Beacon Hills with Scott being tortured with visions of Allison crying out for help and the nogitsune harnessing chaos behind the scenes. For Scott, there is the added and very apparent sense of melancholy as he battles with wistfulness over the life he never had with Allison after he "felt her slip away from me" as she died in his arms. Teen Wolf: The Movie is a blueprint of what Davis did so well during the show's lengthy run, leaning into the nostalgia of it all, and the film is undoubtedly a love letter for [Teen Wolf](https://collider.com/tag/teen-wolf/)'s most loyal fans.
'Teen Wolf: The Movie' revealed the fate of Stiles Stilinksi (Dylan O'Brien) and Lydia Martin's (Holland Roden) romance — details.
[breaking up with him in order to hopefully save his life](https://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/pictures/tv-breakups-fans-still-cant-get-over-greys-anatomy-more/amp/), she finds herself heartbroken and unable to access her supernatural powers. “I think we can’t do the movie without paying tribute to the character Stiles. It was the first thing I ever did I and so many people there are extremely dear to me. It was something I was trying to make work but it all happened very fast. “Arden said, ’nah,’” the tweet read, alongside an excerpt from her interview with The Cut. I was saying ‘no’ because I hope that there will be more equality in the future.” (Reed, for her part, was returning as Allison Argent after exiting the show in season 3.) Though the character of Hikari is also Asian American, Kitsune and kind like Kira, there is no explanation of who she is or how she became a part of Scott’s pack. The character simply appears, leaving audiences to wonder if she is a stand-in for what should have been Cho. The supernatural thriller, which debuted on January 26, 2023, features Scott and his pack back in their hometown 15 years later to face an old nemesis — and protect Beacon Hills from a familiar threat. [You’ve got bills to pay](https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/pictures/emma-stone-and-more-actresses-whove-spoken-out-about-equal-pay/). The show, which ran for six seasons and concluded in September 2017, was an instant cult classic, leaving viewers wanting more from their favorite wolfpack.
Supernatural romance thrillers are dead. But not on Paramount+.
Teen Wolf: The Movie and Wolf Pack seem to be moving past philosophy, in favor of pure eye candy and action, and in a way that’s understandable: Wolves worked as a container for that question for a time, but now, we’ve seen it all before. [men](https://dailytylerposey.tumblr.com/) [were](https://at.tumblr.com/iamneverlostandneverfound/i-assure-you-that-if-you-visit-the-derek-hale-tag/jfjqkn464ziw) [hunky](https://sports.yahoo.com/dylan-o-brien-reading-thirst-152745310.html).) But we mostly stayed because we loved the characters (particularly the [sarcastic, human best friend Stiles](https://www.hypable.com/teen-wolf-stiles-stilinski-character-analysis/)) and their bond. Werewolves rarely make an appearance, and when they do, [they’re far from](https://collider.com/enid-wednesday/) the constantly-shirtless young men that used to dominate television. Shows like CW titans Supernatural (2005-2020) and The Vampire Diaries (2009-2017) are off the air, Shadowhunters (2017-19) never really got its footing, and the show that felt like the genre’s last stand, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (the Riverdale spin-off and Sabrina the Teenage Witch remake that ran from 2018-2020), seemed to end in a whimper. I’m not sure that being force-fed beefed-up and unpredictably violent young men as romantic heroes [was the healthiest thing for my coming-of-age](https://flipscreened.com/2021/04/02/the-progression-of-werewolf-stereotypes-in-the-media/), but the werewolves of yore weren’t useless. That’s one kind of love, but it’s not the love the Teen Wolf series once enjoyed. This is a problem: The movie incorrectly assumes that the audience remained with the original show simply for the high-speed action and hunky lupine men. Anyway, Scott manages to get what’s left of the band back together to solve a mystery that is once again plaguing Beacon Hills. Protagonist Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) had spent the entire six seasons of the show, which was very loosely based on (and much darker than) the 1985 film starring Michael J. Davis has not only revived the series, which ended in 2017, for a reunion movie (aptly titled Teen Wolf: The Movie), he has also created a brand-new series about teen werewolves, Wolf Pack, both premiering tonight on Paramount+. And by releasing both at the same time, the streamer feels like it’s making a statement: Teen Wolf: The Movie is ending an era, making room for Wolf Pack’s new one to begin. [teens, adults, and critics alike](https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/teen_wolf), everything was hunky-dory in the fictional California town of Beacon Hills.
Teen Wolf first aired on MTV in 2011, which means Tyler Posey was only 20 years old when he played 16-year-old alpha wolf Scott McCall.
The actor who plays Argent, JR Bourne, is 52. Now, Tyler is 35 and back as Derek, who plays a father in the new movie. If you're wondering how old the Teen Wolf: The Movie actors are versus the characters they've been playing for nearly a decade (!), you've come to the right place.
Like the TV series upon which it is based, 'Teen Wolf: The Movie' leaves viewers with more questions than answers. That's where we come in.
“That’s open to interpretation, and I wouldn’t want to ruin anyone else’s interpretation,” Davis says. “He also knows [Derek] has an interesting connection to it.” “The decision to not reveal is that it’s a story for another time,” Davis says. “I don’t know,” Davis says. I guess that story remains for another day.” “I know exactly what led to that split, but I don’t know if I should tell it,” Davis teases.
Five years and change after the Teen Wolf series finale brought the saga of MTV's hairy hero to a satisfying-if-uneven conclusion, Scott McCall's story ...
According to the developer, it cost more to make than The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, which was practically a whole game in and of itself. To a large extent this was likely out of the writers’ hands, but their failure to think of a plausible way around his absence works against Teen Wolf nonetheless. In particular, it’s fun to have Hoechlin lean into his experience playing a superpowered dad on Superman & Lois to do something similar in the Teen Wolf sandbox as he deals with his 15-year-old son, Eli (Vincent Matti), not quite being able to wolf out like dear old dad. There’s also the matter of the mysterious resurrection of lost love Allison Argent (Crystal Reed), who died in Scott’s arms (also in season 3) and is now nursing a case of amnesia alongside a mad-on for werewolves. Always able to add a stylistic flourish even when the scripts weren’t holding up their end, Mulcahy does what he can to make “The Movie” in the title mean something, but despite his best efforts Teen Wolf is hopefully constrained by its scope. The script, by series creator Jeff Davis, picks up in the Teen Wolf’s home turf of Beacon Hill 15 years after the show’s 2017 finale, with erstwhile Alpha werewolf Scott (Tyler Posey) using his power over animals to assist people whenever he can.

Maybe we should do this or maybe we should do that.” Davis also confirmed that he didn’t consider killing off any other characters because he wanted any death in Teen Wolf: The Movie to be “meaningful.” “You never really want to do it just for the shock of it,” he told TV Insider. “I was saying ‘no’ because I hope that there will be more equality in the future.” [TV Line,](https://tvline.com/2023/01/26/teen-wolf-movie-derek-death-explained-interview-tyler-hoechlin/) Davis also explained that he wanted Derek to die to have a “movie” moment for the film. We were trying to figure it out.” He continued, “Ultimately, I just decided it was left in a really good place for me and I still want to leave it there. “You want to take big risks and tell a big story.” He continued, “I wouldn’t have done it without Tyler’s blessing. “You really want to go for it in a movie, otherwise it’s just another episode of the show,” he said. It was a big decision, and I always feel that if you’re gonna do a movie as opposed to just another episode of TV or a reboot of a TV show, you need to make those big decisions and those big sacrifices,” Davis told TV Insider. When he thought of the idea, however, the first person he discussed it with was Tyler Hoechlin, who plays Derek and is also an executive produce on Teen Wolf: The Movie. “You don’t want to do a movie and say, ‘Well that could’ve just been another episode of the show.’ You want to make it feel grand.” Derek Hale dies at the end of Teen Wolf: The Movie as Scott McCall and his pack fight the Nogitsune. [Teen Wolf](https://stylecaster.com/why-stiles-not-in-teen-wolf-movie/) revival, titled Teen Wolf: The Movie, was in the works with creator Jeff Davis and and original cast members Tyler Posey, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes, Shelley Hennig, Crystal Reed, Ryan Kelley and Dylan Sprayberry.

But even seasoned fans of the TV show may be caught off guard by some of the content in the movie, including a scene intentionally showing a man and woman’s rears to the camera (as well as the woman’s breasts). “H—” is used nine times, and “a—” is used five times. A man allows himself to be stabbed in the abdomen, and his shirt is heavily stained with his blood. A man’s cheek is sliced with a pair of scissors. A man is shot in the abdomen. One man is shot with a crossbow bolt through the side of his neck, and we see bloody chunks fly from the injury. Lydia wears a low-cut shirt, which accentuates her cleavage for the entirety of the movie. We hear of a “Divine Move,” a move so inspired that only a god could come up with it. We see the Nogitsune, a riddle-loving trickster who “feeds on chaos, pain and strife.” He’s been sealed in a jar for some time, but someone lets him out. Scott sees the ghost of Allison, and we hear that she’s been trapped between life and death in a Tibetan sort of purgatory called bardo.
