Kagiso Rabada, Sisanda Magala and Tabraiz Shamsi sit out for hosts, Chris Woakes and Reece Topley in for England.
They will also not have to toil on what is expected to be a flat surface, with more runs in it than Friday's. An almost all-new South Africa attack will make use of a fresh strip in the second ODI against England. England also made changes to their bowling combination.
OVER 45: ENG 279/6 (Buttler 66 Curran 3). The injury to De Kock and the blow on Parnell's toe as well as the 30C heat have pushed South Africa perilously close ...
Malan leaves the firts alone but the next is fuller and he cuffs it through midwicket for a single. He flashes a cut for a single and Brook brings up England's hundred with a whisk off the pads for two and follows that with a back-foot drive on the up for two more. Malan shuffles across to the next one again and plays a wristy flick for four fine. Nigidi is superb in South Africa and he ends the over with another brute that lifts and rags across Duckett, taking the shoulder of the bat and flies over second slip for a single. Malan does attempt a drive, doesn't time it and the ball squirts off the inside edge. The next one bounces a bit higher and consequently comes off the inside edge for only two this time. But Brook is ready for it, helicopters round and carts it on the hook for six high over deep backward square. Moeen creams the next ball down the ground for four and Jansen takes his revenge with a nasty short ball that crashes into his ribs. England are given a free hit for a no ball awarded when Klaasen knocked over the stumps before the ball reached the batsman. Here comes another at 92.5mph to end the over and Woakes jack-knifes out of the road. After Woakes takes another two down to third man, this one properly gathered by Hendricks, Jansen tempts him one that rears up a bit higher and takes the edge as he retreated to leg. The next ball is slow again from Ngidi and Buttler belts it out of the ground for a steepling six over midwicket.

49.3 Nortje to Sam Curran, out Caught by Klaasen!! He got his first fifty and was looking good for a big one, but Markram managed to get him caught in the deep. Ben Duckett and Harry Brook built a good partnership for a bit, but the southpaw holed out to Keshav Maharaj in his first over. Sam Curran though played a nice cameo in the death overs, to boost up the scoring rate once again as skipper Jos played a few big shots of his own. 'Credit to their batters,a couple of them came along and played their shots and it came off well. Woakes to start for the visitors, two slips in place

Time for drinks - the South Africans seem to be carrying out a plate of cut up oranges – or is is mango? 32nd over: England 177-4 (Buttler 40, Moeen Ali 7) Buttler hits his grove, dispatching Markram for a hooping six and then four through the covers in successive balls. His fifty comes up off what has seemed a sedate 49 balls. He manages a couple more before holing out for a greater cause. 46th over: England 279-6 (Buttler 66, S Curran 3) Super bowling again, this time from Jansen – recently handed the emerging ICC men’s cricketer of 2022 award – a yorker, a slower ball, a short ball – called wide. 47th over: England 307-6 (Buttler 80, S Curran 16) Buttler has had enough of this faffing and deposits Ngidi first for a wristy four, then out of the ground. 48th over: England 312-6 (Buttler 83, S Curran 17) Jansen finishes his excellent spell with a spot-on yorker, to finish with 65-1. 49th over: England 328-6 (Buttler 87, S Curran 28) Three boundaries off Ngidi’s final over – who has been rather leaky at the back end of his spell. Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma stroll out to the middle, and it’s Chris Woakes who has the new ball.

England are by no means out of it though. So, as it stands, South Africa need 138 runs to win from 108 deliveries. He'll take that despite needing to replace his bat after. The runs continue to come quite easily for South Africa though. Hard to pick a side at this stage. Can't help but feel we've got an exciting battle up ahead. South Africa are doing a great job at keeping the required rate in check. No boundary in that over, just what England need. Roy at mid-off saves England a couple more. Unfortunately, he hasn't had much support from the other end. Adil Rashid gets England a crucial breakthrough. The onus is on South Africa again to make the play.
South Africa wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen gifted England five penalty runs after dropping the ball onto his glove during the second ODI in Bloemfontein.
Buttler and Harry Brook were the stars of the show, smashing 94 and 80 respectively. And with Klaasen now behind the stumps, he was responsible for England receiving five penalty runs in the 39th over. Klaasen is a frontline wicketkeeper, but was only handed the gloves midway through England's innings after Quntion de Kock injured his thumb. The error resulted in England getting an extra run and gave Buttler a free hit, although the England skipper was unable to capitalise as Markram managed to escape with a dot. It was the second error Klaasen made behind the stumps, having earlier been responsible for a no ball. After Buttler mistimed a pull shot that deflected off his pads towards fine leg for a single, Klaasen flicked off one of his gloves to receive the ball from the fielder.

46.6 Sam Curran to Miller, 2 runs, fuller on off, pushed towards extra cover and kept running away from Woakes. This was a full toss outside off, pushed uppishly and Moeen at short cover leaped to his left, got both hands but couldn't hold on. 48.4 Sam Curran to Marco Jansen, 2 runs, in the blockhole, clipped softly to deep mid-wicket and that will be another couple. He does well to stop and concede just two. 47.6 Olly Stone to Miller, no run, short pitched and pulled. 47.5 Olly Stone to Marco Jansen, 3 runs, slower length ball, inside edge past the stumps towards fine leg as Jansen tried a big heave. With the bat, it was about understanding the conditions well and using it to our advantage. Nobody in that region and Buttler has to chase after. Thumped over mid-off and sails all the way for a six. This was a really good game of cricket, very competitive and entertaining for the crowds. That should be the game now, a thumping boundary for Marco Jansen! We were pretty relaxed with David and Marco still there, it needed something miraculous for us to lose the game.
South Africa captain Temba Bavumas 109 helps his side complete a brilliant run chase in Bloemfontein; England post target of 343 after skipper Jos Buttler ...
"It is a measure of how poorly they have played in the last few years and you felt Bavuma had a point to prove. To come back from early wickets and post the score we did was pleasing but it was a great chase. A side of that ability should be qualifying in the top eight. It was good I reminded myself how to count to a hundred! However, it was Bavuma who got his side off to a flying start. Bavuma led from the front and the middle order had great momentum.
