Kwame Peprah showed Orlando Pirates what they are missing as he scored on his debut for his new club Maritzburg United.

[AmaZulu defence](https://www.goal.com/en-za/news/just-like-benni-mccarhty-truter-laments-facing-amazulu-player-power-issues/bltf0423a224cb35581) failed to deal with a corner with the ball falling to Kimvuidi Karim and the Congolese midfielder floated it back into the box to meet an unmarked Peprah, who scored with a diving header.

Maritzburg United and AmaZulu had to settle for a point each from their DStv Premiership clash in the KZN capita on Friday night.

Try as they might, Usuthu lacked a cutting edge in the final third for the majority of the match and therefore could not break down a well-drilled Maritzburg side until Manziba’s heroics. Manziba came off the bench to steal a result for Usuthu as he capitalised on good work by Pule Ekstein and fired into a packed Maritzburg goal. Durban — Guily Manziba scored with the final kick of the match and rescued a point for AmaZulu as they played out to a 1-1 draw with Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday evening.

Peprah sealed his move to Maritzburg on January 12, 2023, as he looks for more playing minutes after struggling for regular time at the Soweto giants since the beginning of the 2022-23 campaign. The former King Faisal Babes player got his first goal in only his first match for Maritzburg after 32 minutes as he put ahead after he was assisted by young midfielder Karim Kimvuidi. Peprah was handed his first very start for the Team of Choice since joining on loan from Orlando Pirates for the remainder of the season.
