Talking Tactics | Swansea City v Rotherham United | Swansea (Swansea City)

Football stats experts WhoScored.com preview Swansea City's Championship meeting with Rotherham United and assess the impact Morgan Whittaker can make.

Ahead of this one, [WhoScored.com](https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fWhoScored.com&c=E,1,C_neOq0xflI4KMbf_YaVtx71t7pP1nTnCtEyuLZYeGAxXwZEuRctgX6oUtDNkch9iPMpT0vXAu8-5jFouf2S-_zHHJ2BOCvD7A2UOp6UYc3SBaySJA,,&typo=1&ancr_add=1) preview the league clash, taking a look at what to expect from the Millers, the key battle and a key stat. Of those nine, four came from outside of the box, which remains the second most in League One this season. However, standing between Whittaker and a second league goal for Swansea this season is the Championship's busiest goalkeeper. [WhoScored.com](https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fWhoScored.com&c=E,1,79dMRQbZCS4GZ-6New65TrccwwMteVHg114RD1znmErcCrS213nToxMq16HMecFtOxeGqBy47c8x6IMBi77o6waPA6hLIbKYwTFuSjkKe357n5Ex&typo=1&ancr_add=1) weakness of 'keeping possession of the ball'. There is no reason to suggest he'll move away from the system for tonight's game. [WhoScored.com](https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fWhoScored.com&c=E,1,fQD9iy0GWazy_etvjhcI7orl7WGmvqgD2amAzljn_q64Mdt5uHR8xVLNe5KoBzroUxj-_sg0oF-SJmDog2iqwYQvThM5UEN-szc58-Y8TQ,,&typo=1&ancr_add=1) rating of 7.02. If those trends continue tonight, Swansea will want to showcase a clinical edge in front of goal and make the most of their share of the ball, with Rotherham looking to defend diligently and hurt their hosts in transition. While Swansea rank top for pass success rate (87%), Rotherham actually have the lowest pass accuracy return (66.3%) in England's second tier this term, resulting in a [WhoScored.com](https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fWhoScored.com&c=E,1,Rp6xwF2iNnsRjxw4pE7KLkjS_RJuBscaLHEOwbcI77IddFPZOR6YatGh18piZHfsJPbDRk-rTrDeNNSIIU_jTmHKyEr59zlIlPlQBYD82Q,,&typo=1&ancr_add=1) style of play of 'attacking down the right' and for good reason with 47% of their attacks coming down the right flank, the highest proportion in the Championship. Another January addition who has impressed is Tariqe Fosu-Henry, who ranks top for dribbles per game (3.3) of all Rotherham players, and it's evident that Taylor has an efficient but potent midfield to utilise in Rotherham's bid to beat the drop, and one that Swansea need to be wary of tonight. Both Rathbone and Coventry rank joint-top for tackles per game (2.6) of all Rotherham players this season, with the latter proving a fine addition from Premier League outfit West Ham. REPORT | Swansea 1 v 1 Rotherham (Rotherham United)

Ogbene earns Millers valuable draw.... Chiedozie Ogbene's eighth goal of the season earned Rotherham United a vital point in their Sky Bet Championship ...

Nathan Wood became the latest to see yellow following a clash with Rathbone. Nevertheless, Hjelde latched onto the attempted clearance, to unleash a dipping half volley, which narrowly cleared the home crossbar. Minutes later, Swansea failed to clear a Rotherham corner and Georgie Kelly pounced on a loose ball to poke goalwards, but his point-blank effort was straight at Fisher, who instinctively kept the ball out with a superb, reflex save. The Millers responded positively to the setback and Ferguson delivered a near post corner which was flicked on and Wright, who was off-balance, attempted to nod the ball towards goal but Ben Cabango was well-stationed to snuff out the danger. Manning injected pace into a home move by fizzing a pass into the feet of Piroe, who got the ball under his spell with a classy first touch on the edge of the box, and his second was even better when Dutch player drilled a low shot which skimmed off the slick home surface to beat the outstretched hand of Johansson and find the far corner of the goal. Swansea were playing a risky game at the back to the frustration of their own supporters and Fisher’s tame clearance fell for Rathbone and Peltier swung over a centre which Hugill – bravely attempted to meet against all the odds with a diving header – but a Swansea foot diverted the ball away from his attentions.
