Celtic restored their nine-point lead over Rangers with a 5-1 victory at St Mirren to round off the cinch Premiership action on Sunday.

It was a bit of banter with Marshall. Surely in that context it is not offensive and that must carry a bit of weight. This time they took advantage after Jack Baldwin's 70th-minute dismissal as Kevin van Veen took his Dingwall tally for the season to five with a late double.

Jota scored the equalizer in the 56th minute, with Alistair Johnson adding the go-ahead goal five minutes later.

For 45 minutes, it was the perfect game plan." The decision is a poor decision, it's a red card. "When you go a goal down, you have to maintain your composure and we did that. "They get the first goal and we're trying to change it to give us another platform up top with Tony Watt and they score from a free-kick. The boys are good where when they're playing, they are ready to play and it was a massive contribution. And there was a first Celtic league goal for Oh as well, with the South Korean striker being felled by Alex Gogic in the area. We know it's a difficult place to come to and we had to be really disciplined even after we went a man down. We stayed calm and looked for the best options. "You have to ask Greg if it's harsh on him. Nine minutes later, the low-on-confidence St Mirren players succumbed to a third goal. There's the argument of taking your arm out of the way, but Greives is getting round the other side." More quickfire strikes from substitutes Liel Abada, Matt O'Riley and a penalty from Hyeongyu Oh added further punishment to St Mirren.

Saints had well and truly crumbled Celtic had a penalty when a tired-looking Alex Gogic pulled back substitute Oh in the box. Then when Jota was obstructed on the left flank, Celtic had a freekick in a dangerous area. Johnston found Abada, who played the ball to Aaron Mooy. And Abada was involved as Celtic broke Saints’ stubborn resistance. Dunne undercooked a pass back to Carson. Jota, Alistair Johnston, Liel Abada, Matt O’Riley all netted before a penalty by Oh Hyeonghu rounded off this rout.

It allowed the South Korean striker to place his name on the scoresheet with a little hop and skip run-up before tucking his 81st-minute penalty into the corner. A dreamy touch took him into the box and allowed him to tee himself up to smash into the corner in the 70th minute, before he crossed for Matt O’Riley to knock-in on the half turn within a further 180 seconds. The flurry was completed by VAR not missing in favour of Celtic, Dickinson awarding a penalty after another trip to his monitor following Oh Hyeon-gyu hitting the deck after a push and pull of his jersey by Alex Gogic. Communicated to Dickson that he ought to take a look at the manner the ball struck Taylor, television evidence also suggested he arrived at the correct decision in then signalling for a spot-kick. The evidence the points to that conclusion is hardly of the scant variety. The Celtic manager was terse in his analysis of a system he has little-love for.

In something of an understated fashion, the 21-year-old has pushed even more to make these count. With only 16 starts in the club’s 38 outings, the attacker has racked up 1,700 minutes of action.
