Juventus are in now in the top seven of the league table at the moment. Back the visitors in what appears to be an exciting match. That streak would have been seven straight wins when they had a 1-0 lead at halftime against FC Nantes in the UEFA Europa League, but a second-half struggle saw the game end in a 1-1 draw. However, they were stunned by a well-taken penalty kick by Daniel Ciofani in the 83rd minute to secure the win for Cremonese. Roma has blasted the net 31 times in 24 games played. CBS Sports has a daily soccer podcast, covering everything you need to know about the beautiful game. Jose Mourinho's team is coming off of a surprising defeat against Cremonese away and wants to react against the Bianconeri that on the other side come from the 4-2 win against Torino last Tuesday. Following Roma's appeal against Mourinho initial suspension for two matchdays, the Italian federation (FIGC) have suspended the review of the appeal and will resume its verification after March 10.

He had a legitimate chance to come back to a league he knows well and has played well in this season, but has basically shown he’s not a very good player at this point in his career and somebody who is certainly not worth the kind of money he’s making. Roma definitely have the kind of players to cause Juve issues, and that is before you take into account that this fixture has had a little bit of unpredictability when played at the Olimpico. If Allegri is willing to sit back and let Torino have 60 percent of the possession at Allianz Stadium, I wouldn’t be shocked to see that same thing happen against Roma this weekend. That might not result in Juventus being hit for five goals again, but it will certainly give the three-man Brazilian backline the same kind of challenge. Playing in a role that certainly suits his skillset more often this season compared to Allegri’s first year back definitely helps. But at the same time, I’ve seen plenty of Rabiot to make me think that this might be a player turning things up in the last year of his contract to try and score a big pay day from a Premier League club. But I also have seen Rabiot play poorly for the vast majority of his time in Turin, so at this point I don’t know what to believe. But, for me, one of the biggest things has been the fact that Angel Di Maria has come back from the World Cup in absolutely fantastic form. It’s the fact that you’re stuck in that Thursday-Sunday scheduling grind for as long as you’re in the thing. We just don’t know right now, and I think that uncertainty will prove to be the biggest motivational factor to try and make some sort of run. Do you get the sense Juve is willing to invest the time and energy to make a genuine run at the title? While it’s clearly something that many clubs both in Italy and around Europe have done, Juve has been made the poster child just because of the number of these swap deals they did. This stupid season in which first talking about Juventus’ season that doesn’t actually involve anything that has happened on the field.

Their visitors, meanwhile, lost their first game in four but remain on course to achieve their objective of survival. The Aquilotti are also the only side yet to score via a substitute; Hellas have netted only once through their subs - and not since August.
Jose Mourinho is under pressure to finish fourth as AS Roma hosts an in-form Juventus side steadily rising into the Champions League places.
Belotti is yet to score or assist in Serie A since signing for Roma in the summer. Arkadiusz Milik is the only notable absentee in this Juventus squad to face AS Roma. Yet, Massimiliano Allegri is not about to start questioning and take whatever help he can get from his performing stars, especially in their quest to finish in the UEFA Champions League places. Angel Di Maria should keep his place in the attacking setup as he continues to complement Dusan Vlahovic up front. AS Roma have been brilliant since the turn of the year, and Juventus are on a mazy run to gain a relevant place in Europe next year. Juventus have 35 points on board and would have been comfortably in the second spot if not for the deduction. The Bianconeri have won 12 of their last 15 matches in Serie A, which shows they are technically in a title-chasing form. The manager could count on Chris Smalling, who returns from a suspension and could come straight into the lineup. There could also be a place for Tammy Abraham, who should replace the ineffective Andrea Belotti. They are still considerably behind AC Milan in the points table. There is pressure on the Portuguese manager to bring the club back to the Champions League. And that was hardly ideal ahead of the clash between AS Roma and Juventus.

Odds and betting predictions for Roma vs Juventus in Serie A play on Sunday, March 5th at 2:45 pm ET at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
Not to mention the likes of Angel Di Maria and Moise Kean. Even on the road, I expect the Bianconeri to come out of the gates quickly. These two plays are my most surefire, with the other props mentioned having slightly less confidence. For reference, that is the lowest tally amongst the top seven teams, by a margin of nine. Another play I like is Juventus to score first with odds of +105. All in all, it is just easier to see Juventus thriving early and managing this game to three points, even if it is away from home. Not to mention, Roma is only 2-2-6 in their last ten head-to-head matches versus the Old Lady. In fact, the under on 2.5 total goals sits at -180, which is extremely juicy. With a heated race for European football brewing, they also need to keep the pace at a crucial point in their campaign. Next, this game definitely points to the under in terms of total goals scored. With only fourteen games remaining, the stakes could not be higher for Roma. A win could leapfrog the Giallorossi into the top four, as AC Milan sit three points higher with only a one-point advantage on goal difference.

With different on and off the pitch struggles, each of these sides have had up and down seasons, but Juventus and Roma still have a lot to play for.
They line up in a few different ways, so they’ve appreciated the versatility of Danilo, who has spent time at both outside back positions as well as in the middle, and has been excellent across the board. In terms of the former, Roma have been just average; their average of just under 50% possession is good for ninth in Serie A. Meanwhile, Roma have had a solid run after the new year, even jumping as high as third in the table at one point and pulling off a nice Europa League comeback against RB Salzburg, but they’ve developed a truly strange addiction; losing to Cremonese. Roma are +145 home favorites, while Juventus are +190 and the draw +200 in a tight matchup. Let’s take a look at the odds and make some picks for this matchup between Italian giants. With different on and off the pitch struggles, each of these sides have had up and down seasons, but Juventus and Roma still have a lot to play for.
Despite Roma losing to Cremonese on Tuesday, there was a small victory for the Giallorossi in the form of Gini Wijnaldum putting in a full 90-minute shift.
Rounding out the XI is Leo Spinazzola, who will look to continue his fine form of the last few matches. Roma will receive a boost there with the return of Chris Smalling from suspension. His presence should give Roma’s midfield a boost the rest of the way as Mourinho’s side tries to return to the [Champions League](https://www.sbnation.com/champions-league) places.
