Stellenbosch have advanced to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup after beating TS Galaxy in a nine-goal thriller at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.

As if that was not dramatic enough, TS Galaxy were denied a goal after the referee ruled an infringement. It was one-way traffic in the second half as Stellenbosch oozed far too much class, which TS Galaxy were unable to contain or match. TS Galaxy midfielder Yaimil Medina converted from the penalty spot after his teammate Orebotse Mongae was fouled plumb in front of the Stellenbosch posts.
