There have been reports that the vehicle used to transport Pretorius in has been found, however, there has been no confirmation by authorities at this stage. While there is not much information on the incident at this point, the publication did reveal that the biokineticist was snatched in Pickering Street. There is no indication of the number of suspects involved at this point.

Police in Gqeberha are searching for a biokineticist who was kidnapped outside of her workplace in Pickering Street on Thursday morning.

Mgolodela says one suspect has been arrested and a firearm confiscated. Eastern Cape Hawks spokesperson Yolisa Mgolodela told Algoa FM News that a suspect had been arrested and that Riana Pretorius had been found, however, when she was pressed for more information she later stated that her sources were unreliable and apologised for her error. Algoa FM News has been reliably informed that the Hawks have now taken over this investigation.
