Inflation Crisis in Morocco Divides Public Institutions and Government (Morocco World News)

Morocco's central bank, Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM), and the Higher Commission of Planning (HCP) concluded that the lingering inflationary pressures are no longer ...

But Akhannouch has strongly denied reports of any such royal arbitration. Suspicions of a disagreement between the government and the central bank were further heightened after the bank announced on March 21 its decision to raise interest rates. Reports claim that Akhannouch is concerned about how the tightening of monetary policies could affect his government’s performance, and considered inflation to be caused by external factors. Recent local media reports indicate that Aziz Akhannouch, the head of Morocco’s market-oriented government, is not thrilled about BAM’s aggressive monetary policy and is even calling for a royal arbitration. Reports now suggest that the HCP and BAM’s conclusions are creating a wedge between the two institutions and the government, with Morocco’s Culture Minister appearing to reject the conclusions in remarks made on Monday. “Inflation should be considered as a structural and domestic truth, and we should adapt to it, much like drought,” Lahlimi explained, adding that it is caused by a “shortage in production or supply, and not demand.”

The data also show that Nador is the region with the highest number of business start-ups. This data reflects the preference of Moroccan entrepreneurs for the SARL-AU legal form for setting up businesses, as it offers entrepreneurs the possibility of limiting their liability to the amount of capital they have invested in the business, which helps them to reduce the risk of being liable for debts. Statistics show that the majority of businesses created in Morocco have the legal form of single-person SARL-AU, indicating a trend towards the creation of smaller, less capital-intensive businesses. Finally, the development of new technologies has also contributed to this boom in the Kingdom. Over the last decade, Morocco has become a magnet for multinationals offering customer services, mostly in French but also in Spanish. “The coordinating body is much more popular with interim workers than the traditional unions. On 14 January, the main trade unions reached an agreement with the Ministry, which Taj believes does not meet the aspirations of the majority of workers. Some have been in this situation for more than 15 years,” says union activist Moulay Taj, a teacher who runs the website annakaba.com (nakaba means union in Arabic). Morocco was a country that had maintained its independence and its collaboration with the Global South, and sometimes with the North. Optional Protocols to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and the Convention on the Rights of the Child had been acceded to. The point of ratifying was to hold the State to a high standard. The country took its commitment to the Convention on the Rights of the Child seriously. What happened to her and what was in the best interest of the child following the decision to prohibit her re-entry into the country? What was the result of interventions to reduce the vulnerability of people based in settlements near the northern border? These were forward-thinking for the time and were representative of the country’s attitude. Morocco had always been a welcoming land and immigration had been part of the country’s fabric. A new approach was taken in the context of rising costs and inflation to increase the minimum wage by 10 per cent overall and reduce the number of required days to contribute to pension funds. What was the average stay of the population transiting through the country and what was the Government doing to reduce it? What was the search and rescue role and capacity of Morocco? Public authorities ensured the management of entry and residence of workers and their families through Law 02-03, which required compliance with all the instruments to which the Kingdom was party to.

Reminiscing Morocco (Morocco World News)

The country is blessed with balanced weather and the people are friendly and welcoming. Reminiscing Morocco Morocco's tourism assets. By Viswanathan Maruthur - ...

But I feel this is a minor transgression compared to abominable cruelty inflicted on various animals across the world in the name of sports, fun or fur. Indians love their food to be spicy and this red paste came in handy for each of us to spice up our tagine meals. This is entwined with argan as that’s the favorite tree for them to climb up or to be ‘placed on’ as it appears in reality! A couple of trees that we visited, adorned by goats, did appear to be ‘custom-fitted’ to keep the goats perched at different levels. The animals also had a rehearsed posture with all looking at us – hardly any leaf or argan fruit was left on the tree for them to taste after all. Its people are the quintessence of being tourism friendly, opening the doors to strangers and more. There should be a helicopter service that flies the tourists above this scenery and the adjacent lake with blue water (reminiscent of Swiss alpine lakes). While she could buy them at a women's co-operative, we came face to face with a hitherto unknown (to us) fact about tree-climbing goats. The sunset and sunrise of Sahara leave one mesmerized. Currently, European herd tourists who may consider Morocco as a relatively cheap destination with sunlight are flocking to the country. We were four: I along with my wife and our friends (another couple) in a minivan. At last, we were savoring the amazing panorama that makes up Morocco for 10 days this month (6th to 16th March).
