The massive reaction for Ripley’s big win was a testament to the quality of the match. The Bloodline storyline was a winner before this match started as they rightfully main evented Night 1 of WrestleMania. Rey and Dominik Mysterio lived past their lofty expectations in a match that paid off every piece of storytelling leading up to the emotional father-son feud. This WrestleMania card was too good for its big matches not to be among the best of the night, but the tag team Fatal 4-Way set a tone that every match had to work hard to follow. Seth Rollins picked up the win, but in five WWE matches, Logan Paul continues to become a human highlight real. On a stacked WrestleMania card, the tag team Fatal 4-Way was a throwaway match that nobody had any expectations for.

You feel for Sheamus who did everything he could including nearly getting pinfalls with a Brogue Kick to each of his opponents, before falling just short.

The next phase in The Bloodline storyline seemed to be Cody Rhodes finally prevailing over Reigns, and Reigns’ Bloodline crumbling. And with Rhodes in lock-step with WWE’s fanbase since returning from a company he created to oppose them, live crowds unanimously sided with Cody. WWE’s long-term storytelling has been a lynchpin of the new regime, though Vince McMahon remains a wildcard as he seems to be inching closer to a return to creative. Rhodes was also banned from ever challenging for the AEW World Championship due to losing a stipulation match to Chris Jericho. Fans were almost unanimously behind Rhodes at SoFi Stadium, booing Reigns vociferously as Rhodes looked to finish his story in honor of his father the late great Dusty Rhodes. Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes in a shocking finish at WrestleMania 39.
Reigns survived by the skin of his teeth and leaves WrestleMania 39 with his record-setting world title run intact.
Rhodes crawled over to Reigns and covered the champion just as the referee recovered. Owens hit Reigns with a stunner and Zayn got a measure of revenge on the champion with a Helluva Kick that sent shockwaves through SoFi Stadium. The action took a spill to the outside as each man power-slammed the other on the ramp. An absolutely chaotic match, well fit for the rivalry involved and the Hell in a Cell moniker. Cody Rhodes: Rhodes relied on his amateur wrestling background and speed advantage to control his powerhouse opponent in the early portion of the match. Belair ducked a cloud of mist, Asuka side-stepped a hair whip, Asuka rolled into an armbar and Belair lifted Asuka into a KOD for the win. Balor was reeling in pain but managed to kick out of a spear from "The Rated R Superstar." The performers did a masterful job of telling a story of friction and feelings of betrayal between Sheamus and McIntyre. Balor found his way back into the match and drove his heels through Edge with a Coup de Grace. The champion powerbombed Sheamus onto McIntyre and subsequently powerbombed McIntyre for the win. The men's showcase match was a hard act to follow but the women put in a strong effort. The mammoth superstar tossed around Lesnar and effortlessly power-slammed him in the early portions of the match.

Instead, Cody went for a kick and Reigns moved — so the referee took the shot. Cody managed to break out of a long guillotine, and maybe that would lead to the finish but no. The Cross Rhodes for two. The building was damn near shaking. A Cody Cutter for two. Solo Sikoa interfered a few times, and then one too many times, as he got caught hitting Cody with his own weight belt. But that only got two. Once we got to the near falls, they were electric. They did the slow build for it too, letting the tension breathe early in the match, going back-and-forth a bit to give both some shine. This had the exact feel you want out of a WrestleMania main event. The referee heard the smack, and sent Solo to the back to a thunderous ovation. When Reigns would slam Cody, Cody would turn around and get the same slam on Reigns.

Sheamus and McIntyre were able to keep the champion out of the match for a long period of time and slug it out. Rhodes' pin was a close one but Reigns remained in the battle. The Grudge match between Edge and Finn Balor inside the Hell In A Cell followed soon with both men looking to tear each other apart. The bout came to an end with Edge hitting a Con-Chair-To to the Demon and finally slaying him. As the other six superstars did their best to get one over the other, Rousey would swoop in and make Shotzi tap out and get the win. The WrestleMania Showcase match was next on the card with four teams battling it out for the win.
Roman Reigns shocked the world that expected Cody Rhodes to end his legendary run to cap off a sensational WrestleMania weekend for WWE.
Asuka failed to land her mist, Belair missed with her hair and then Asuka locked in a nasty looking armbar as Belair looked for her KOD finisher. As the pair battled, Gunther suddenly made an impact to powerbomb both men and grab the 1,2,3. As the action broke down, Sheamus nearly had the win with a Brogue Kick, but McIntyre broke he pin. Then, as McIntyre lined up a claymore on the champion, Sheamus hit another Brogue Kick, but on the Scot this time. This was exactly what it needed to be. The champion powered out of the submission and deadlifted the challenger to land the KOD for the victory. Solo Sikoa was at ringside and kept getting involved before the ref threw him out. Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler def. Likely because of her strapped up arm.
