Cancer patients demand attention while China celebrates International Workers' Day

This past week was a mix of advocacy and celebration around the world. On one hand, cancer patients and organizations raised their voices demanding action to address the backlog in treatment. The critical role of healthcare in society took the spotlight as these patients marched for better care. Simultaneously, reports highlighted the launch of registers of councillors' interests, shedding light on transparency in governance.

Meanwhile, in China, the streets were abuzz with excitement as the country celebrated International Workers' Day on 1st May. Festivities and events marked the day, honoring the contributions of workers nationwide. The spirit of unity and solidarity was palpable as people came together in a show of support for labor rights and fair treatment.

As cancer patients fight for their right to treatment, and Chinese workers revel in their hard-earned achievements, one thing is clear: activism and celebration go hand in hand. Both groups demonstrate the power of collective action and advocacy in shaping a better future for all.
