August 2024: Petrol Prices Take a Dive!

Good news for SA drivers! Fuel prices drop in August, thanks to a stronger rand. Time to fill up those tanks!

In a delightful twist that has South African drivers smiling this August, the Department of Minerals and Petroleum Resources has announced fuel price decreases that will take effect on Wednesday, 7 August 2024. After a tough year, we finally get a break at the pump with petrol and diesel prices taking a dive! As the oil prices have taken a downward turn in the past week, hope was briefly stirred. Unfortunately, the timing was off to make any meaningful impact on August's fuel price outlook.
